Decent price for a 32GB iPad mini 2.

To get the price of £219 enter the code IPAD20 at checkout. This is also available in store.

All other iPads are marked with £20 off the listed price if the code is used at checkout.

Why thank you, but by actually posting up a deal (not that you'd know) it might help someone who is looking for an iPad at this moment in time.

These were 189 in quite a few places 3 or 4 weeks ago. I was going to get one as a present for someone but not paying the current prices. This does seem to be the cheapest though so not voting cold.

Voted hot because I can not see a cheaper price elsewhere currently.

(It appears that there are a lot of hotukdeals voters with time machines which are capable of going back in time to a cheaper price, so vote cold. However, for those of us without time machines, this is the best price available currently. It would be really helpful if the timemachine brigade could go into the future, and then come back to the present so that they can tell us when it will be cheaper in the future)

Just because something is the current cheapest price available doesn't necessarily make it a hot deal. There are many more factors to consider. Cold from me

Have to say just because it's the current cheapest price doesn't automatically qualify it for hot deal. I used to think like that but after a being around here for a long time I've learned that I was wrong. Something like this might just be a good price for that individual who wants to buy it now. But part of deal hunting is grabbing things at the right time not just the current cheapest price. The cheapest price EVER is the obvious hot deal but there's other factors of course such in the value of the pound vs the dollar and the direction of a product line (as in the Wii U is holding price and going up due to availability). So hot deals are actually pretty complex!

That's your opinion and obviously you're entitled to it but my whole ethos of posting deals is what the price is now.

Not what they 'have been' or 'might be' in the future. I very much doubt that Apple will stop updates for this iPad for several years as considering that they've only just recently stopped supporting iPhone 4 and that came out in June 2010 and this iPad came out in October 2013, so quite a considerable while yet.

If someone is looking for an item that I post then hopefully this is the best deal currently. It could be that they need them now, or for a present, or they just want them at this precise moment.

But I appreciate your comment and input.

It is my opinion of course. I appreciate where you're coming from. I just feel that ethos is too simplistic as if it were just a simple cheapest price now calculation then there's search and comparison engines for that. If you just post based on cheapest price for right now that's a slippery slope- For example I could just start submitting hundreds of thousands of items where I found the cheapest price for them right now... but would that really make them hot deals? I think there's more to it than that.

I disagree it's not simplistic at all.

I have found that comparison engines can be very slow to react to sudden price changes, once the deal has been active for a few days the deals can adjust and the stock has gone or the deal is no longer available. With that in mind I have posted up a few deals so members of UKHD can get the most up to date price if they so choose.

This doesn't make it cold, just the best price at that particular moment in time. Any UKHD member can do a search on a certain product and see the price history for themselves and make their own judgement.

I don't think it's a slippery slope, just informed of current prices and possibly a good deal for them if they want that certain product.
