Beautiful 7.9" Retina Display: The difference has never been clearer. iPad mini with Retina display is amazing to hold. And behold. Every photo is incredibly detailed and vibrant, and every line of text is remarkably crisp and clear. With higher resolution than an HDTV, it's stunning - on a whole new scale.
A7 Chip: Don't let its size fool you. iPad mini is powered by the new A7 chip with 64-bit architecture. A7 delivers killer performance - up to four times faster CPU and up to eight times faster graphics performance than the previous generation - without sacrificing battery life. So you get incredible power in a device you can take with you wherever you go.
Powerful Apps: It comes ready to work and play. iPad apps are like no other. Because they're designed just for iPad, they look amazing and use every pixel of the beautiful display. iPad mini comes with great built-in apps for the everyday things you do, like checking email and surfing the web. To help you be even more creative and productive, iPhoto, iMovie, GarageBand, Pages, Numbers and Keynote are now available for free. And over 475,000 other incredible iPad apps are just a tap away in the App Store. With apps like these, iPad mini can do just about anything - which means you can too.
Advanced Wireless: Do more in more places. iPad mini keeps you connected faster than ever. In more locations than ever. Using two antennas instead of one, alongside MIMO technology, iPad mini delivers twice the Wi‑Fi performance of its predecessor. And the Wi‑Fi + Cellular model supports more bands than ever, so you can make quick, easy connections the world over
iPad mini and iOS 7: Beautiful Design, Beautifully Integrated. iOS 7 was designed to take advantage of 64-bit architecture. So it's every bit as advanced as the iPad mini it runs on. And with new features like smarter multitasking, Control Centre and AirDrop, iOS 7 makes the experience of using iPad mini even more beautiful and simple. Because iOS 7 and iPad mini weren't just designed to work together, they were designed to enhance one another.

You don't think I would post any Apple product without doing my homework do you? (_;)

Great price, but you'll probably end up selling it a month or two down the line and buying an i7 laptop instead

Huh? Not sure I understand.. A laptop and a tablet are obviously for completely different things. But why would someone sell it in favour of specifically a Core i7 laptop? Is there some form of causal link between the two?

Sincerely,

Confused.

Or maybe, they sell it and buy a Russell Hobbs 4-slice toaster instead.

Are these able to support the latest firmware like the ipad air range? I have heard older models don't work well with the latest firmware

Chuffin' bargain, I'll buy seven.

This is the latest model.

I wonder if this is in preparation to compete with the Surface mini which is due to launch on 20th of this month. I will be waiting until the Surface mini is launched before buying my next tablet but then I prefer the original Surface over the iPad.

Thanks for the gr8 deal

Why not get this from the apple store? Bigger screen, retina display same 1 year warranty and great customer service.Only 29 quid more after cash back from Quidco.

Better size for some, new instead of refurb and a better processor. Also a hell of a lot better looking

Honestly, I can't imagine a 10" 16GB iPad making much sense when you can get a 10" 128GB Surface Pro (with touch cover) for the same price.

The smaller version is more desirable to some punters.

Basically screen size (and the mini has a higher ratio of PPI because of that)

Choose based on your preference of size.

Because apple products give rock solid performance. Who has genuinely been able to say that about windows products. Yes the surface has more storage and whatnot but when I went in to try out some tablets, the surface I tried blue screened within 5 minutes of playing with it. If you want a tablet you can rely on you go apple. I'm not an apple fanboy either, just talking from experience.

Surface is a Windows product; anything made by that company is crap.

So that's your basis for deciding if a product is good or not? Seems well balanced and thought out and worth listening too.

Going to see if John Lewis will price-match.

You can do a stupid amount of extra stuff with Windows than iOS, and honestly, I've only ever had problems with Apple products; I've never had Windows 7 or Windows 8 blue screen on me, yet I have owned two iOS devices that froze more often than any other devices I've ever owned, and the chargers for Apple products are absolutely appalling; that white/grey rubberised material just disintegrates over time.

Had a Surface since it first came out and use it nearly every day, never had it blue screen once. Also have an iPad but personally prefer the Surface. Both work very well IMO.

This is the latest model.

It says released 29 November 2013 in the description? That would make it almost old tech?

Now £455

Still £399 look for Amazon as the seller

Dispatched in 1-2 MONTHS??? Amazon is selling for £399 but I can't wait that long...

junior2020

Dispatched in 1-2 MONTHS?Seriously?

Yeah, I've just noticed this too! I think something should be added to the title otherwise it's a bit misleading!

400 pounds just to surf and play games? OK then.

The air is 79% nitrogen, 20% oxygen and 1% other gases. This product is 100% iPad.

Lets be clear hear, the APPLIE IPAD is the best pad ever still out performing worldwide...

shirley999

Going to see if John Lewis will price-match.

They don't price match online-only or mail order businesses such as Amazon......

Ye, got to agree. With the Surface Pro (not the crippled RT) it has uses beyond posing. And, at least for now, you still get to choose your browser engine.

Buy the iPad as a games device, Pro for doing things.

When the deal was posted, it was available immediately. I think a sudden rush of recent orders may have emptied the inventory.

Still a very good price for those that are willing to wait (I doubt it's going to take 1-2 months - normally it's 2-3 weeks at most).
