Tempted by this. Is there a catch I’m not seeing? How can they sell for that much cheaper than retail (£699)

Correct, you need to add the eBay 20% code to get the £100 off.

As far as I know, there is no difference other than being supplied with a US style plug. However they do supply a UK convertor, so no big deal.

ok yeah not a big concern. I'm still a little skeptical though

The package is often damaged because these idiots put the undamaged box in a Jiffy bag and slap a label on it.

Nothing important these days, Wi-Fi only iPads are one of the few devices that aren’t region specific. Though the new Pro will be out in a few months or so, this is nearing EOL.

Yeah I’m a bit torn. New one would be nice but will be at least £700 and I’m not too fussed about having 3 lenses on an iPad

I got rid of mine. Couldn’t get on with the fussy touchscreen or reduced sensitivity over the older models - widely documented and Apple denied it as usual.

Wasn't the touchscreen issues related to screen protectors though?

The iPads are fine, I’ve had a few iPad mini 5s off them and no issues other than severely battered boxes and dubious tax information. The Note 10 I returned as they weren’t new, they were grey import refurbs.

No. First one I had a tempered glass but later removed it, second I had a thin plastic one and third and final one I used bare - it would just fail to respond occasionally and require multiple or firm taps, in a way that my 2017 iPad Pro or mini 5 never did. Either way, for such an expensive iPad, unacceptable. Apple did replicate it in store and admitted there was some issue which enabled me to return it. For all intents I would have kept it but as I use my iPad for gaming after hours, this was a particular issue - also no headphone jack is just plain stupid!

Yeah heard some good and bad about the boxes. Personally mine was excellent, if it’s damaged it’s easily sorted via eBay customer support and sent back to the supplier for a refund

Yes but my concern was the box was so battered I was unable to tell if the iPad inside was damaged or not and I didn’t want to risk opening it to be told I’d damaged it. Plus I’d waited a week already. The good iPads I had, were great and absolute bargain, I think I paid £270 (£220ish after VAT) for a mini 5 which for something of that power was superb.

What was the tax info, if you don't mind me asking? Were you being asked to pay import tax?

Maybe it's down to luck as to whether you get a good one or not.
In relation to no headphone jack, that doesn't bother me personally.

Thanks
What's the difference between these and the normal ipads
Any deals on the smart case? It costs almost £800 with it.... that’s as much as I paid for a retina MacBook in 2015

Loads better in every way. The sound is just amazing
Also USB mini C, so easy to transfer files to USB stick, hard drive etc.
Only showing 256gb available for £659.

No. It was worse than that, they marked as zero vated VAT (eg marginal) then supplied an invoice with 20% VAT on when I pestered them which makes me think the VAT isn't actually paid. When I pushed them harder on it they said to return it and the actual invoice looked extremely amateur as well.

I had 3 iPad Pro 11" and they were all the same (it seemed worse once the device had warmed up a bit), the headphone jack may not bother you but removing it just shows a complete disregard for consumers as there was no need to - they can't claim it was to make space for a bigger battery or make the chassis stiffer. Wireless headphones aren't always ideal (especially late at night).

Mostly the camera having a flash, the 120Hz display, Face ID and much better sound output with real stereo, they are faster, but not substantially so vs other high-end iPads.

As I said, they are often fine with iPads and I kept the ones I'd bought from them as it was a good price but I don't think they are legit with their tax affairs. I never bought a Pro 11 from them, mine came from JL and Apple - but I do think it's an in-built hardware flaw that affects some people.
