The model is A2223 with dual nano-sim capability which is not the UK version (nano-sim + esim). And the price is amazing with almost £110 off the RRP.

This model supports all the frequencies(2/3/4G) used in the UK: 800MHz (Band 20), 900MHz (Band 8), 1800MHz (Band 3), 2100MHz (Band 1) and 2600MHz (Band 7). And also, Apple states on the website saying all iPhones should work worldwide.

the iPhone 11 comes in three different model numbers which are A2111, A2221, and A2223.

The iPhone 11 A2111 is the model released for the United States’ market. It is compatible with both GSM and CDMA networks. The A2111 is also available as a SIM-free factory-unlocked edition at Apple Store. Besides, you can also purchase it in other countries like Canada and Puerto Rico. The model supports dual SIM (eSIM and nano-SIM card) but if you plan to use it with two different carriers, you must buy the unlocked version from Apple Store to avoid restrictions; Some carriers might even disable eSIM feature.

The A2221 is considered the global version because it is widely available in all regions apart from the North America and China. You will receive this model when ordering in Europe and Asia, including countries like the United Kingdom, India, Germany, Russia, Italy, France, Singapore, Taiwan, etc.

The iPhone 11 A2223 is the model for China and Hong Kong. If you are interested in physical Dual-SIM feature, this is the only version that allows inserting two nano-SIM cards to its SIM card tray. eSIM is not supported in this version.

Pretty good
Silly question but I always keep my phone on silent but the description says the camera always makes a shutter noise...?? Anyone have experience of this oddity??

It says A2223(not Japanese version) in the title but they do mention that they might send you the Japanese variant. If that happens, then yes.

It’s not that odd. It’s how they have to have them in Japan by law, hence it points out you might get a Japanese model. So yes will make a shutter noise with the camera when you take a pic whether it’s on silent or not.

Yes. 1 year worldwide warranty once activated. You can go to any Apple store anywhere for a problem covered under warranty in your 1 year or if you purchase AppleCare+

Yeah I recall an article a while back ,about the 6s about $230 to make , selling for $699 .. Guessing the new stuff at £1200 will have an even bigger mark up.

Yes, also Apple care is still an option, we bought an iwatch in USA and then took AC out when we got home.

Heads up for anyone thinking about ordering; if it’s the Japanese variant then the camera shutter will always sound loud even on silent, it’s the law there!
iPhone actually gone hot! It’s a good deal tbf!

I bought an Australian iPad from eGlobal. Was able to buy Applecare for it in the UK. Also, you can take Apple products to any Apple store for repair under warranty.

Nice one @inayat.elahi do we have a a2223 equivalent for iPhone 11pro which has a physical dual SIM
Apple never ask about proof of purchase either country of purchase
The only thing they check is serial and if warranty is left it is covered simple
I have take UAE USA hong kong phone to apple store here in uk and they replaced it
But they import the replacement phone or ipad from the origin country if it require replacement

Yes true, but none of them things matter to me, I prefer customisation and apk opertunity and WhatsApp is universal and used by all, I understand that iphones have there merits to some but to me they are boring, mundane and very routine.

@b4dr1 sorry only know the models for 11Pro and max. Will dig more if I could find more details
@b4dr1 here you go

The iPhone 11 Pro A2217 is the version released for China and Hong Kong. Notably, this is the only edition featuring physical Dual-SIM card tray. The eSIM feature is not supported but you can insert two nano-SIM cards to this tray.

True; I purchased the Moto One Zoom recently in an attempt to switch to Android. The phone was lovely but only after an hour it all seemed somewhat primitive.. no way to turn off mms was huge, simple things required extra steps, forcing to download WhatsApp just to send pictures across devices was the biggest. IOS just works. That was my last attempt to switch at least until android has an imessage equivalent (built in).

Well ram aside as they're different Operating Systems, yeah.... especially since they're made in the same country, paying the same amount of peanuts to the poor workers. It isn't like the phone costs Apple any more than the One Plus to make, probably be cheaper knowing how much weight Apple can throw around. There is a reason why they're in the top two richest companies around for mainly selling hardware. They do not sell many of them relatively, Apple have decided to stop giving out numbers sold, because they're falling. So to in an effort to keeping growing in revenue, they're upping the price of their devices.. we went from a Flagship being £500 to £1000 in a couple of years. Now they release the iPhone 11 and knock $50 off it, more like £20-30 for us, and everyone is praising them for it

Apple lost me as a customer because of it, I bought the iPhone 6s, I tried the iPhone X but got rid because I just felt horrible wasting all that money... I couldn't enjoy the phone lol. So I bought a Galaxy S8 for £110 on eBay... I just don't like it, I mean the Finger Print Sensor is in a crap place. Now I'm back to using my old iPhone... but, I'm not going to pay these prices for a phone, that is for sure. Make the XR 128GB for £400... I'm happy with that.

To you these things do not matter, to a lot they do, same applies to with most things such as cars, you may be happy with a little runaround but others may want a four wheel drive. I am an android guy but would still buy an Iphone, they are in reality a quality bit of kit and comparing a one plus to an Iphone is really like comparing a Dacia to a Porche

It's been a while since I've had an iPhone but what does iMessage do that WhatsApp, hangouts, etc don't do? I recall that iMessage was good when it first came out but it was only fully featured if contacting another iPhone. Have Motorola disabled the ability to switch off MMS then?

I spent ages yesterday trying to help a friend stitch together some videos that were on her iPhone using my MacBook. It was frustrating how we were pushed into trying to link everything rather than just being able to access the videos. Trying to share files from the iCloud was tiresome compared to using Google drive.

I like my MacBook but it's annoying how Apple only really let you use all the features if you buying everything of theirs. Using my android phone and a Windows laptop would have been a breeze in comparison.
