Core iPhone 11 Features
Every time a new iPhone arrives, it's hard to imagine Apple making revolutionary changes to their successful design, but the engineers at the Cupertino based company always manage to pack in a few significant changes, which tend to justify the upgrade price. Here are the key iPhone 11 features to set the new phone into perspective:
  • Resilient Design – The iPhone range has always been renowned for its engineering prowess, and the iPhone 11 is the strongest, toughest, most resilient model yet. Both front and back glass surfaces have been strengthened to ensure protection against sudden drops, while water resistance ensures protection at 2 metres depth for 30 minutes.
  • Leading Processor – At the heart of the iPhone 11, you'll find what Apple is calling “the fastest chip ever in a smartphone.” The A13 Bionic takes things to another level where CPUs are concerned, handling the most demanding games with ease, and incorporating energy-saving systems that make your battery charge last for as long as possible.
  • Quick Facial Recognition – As with other recent iPhone releases, the iPhone 11 uses FaceID to recognise users, making the phone secure and easy to use. It's a much more reliable and quick method than TouchID.
  • Total Privacy – Along with facial recognition for access, Apple has taken note of the trend towards digital privacy. All FaceTime interactions on an iPhone 11 are encrypted routinely, ensuring that eavesdroppers will be frozen out of the conversation, and no data is shared via Apple Maps, keeping your movements totally confidential.
  • Easy Communication and Sharing – Apple has been trying to encourage users with its devices to share photos and messages via AirDrop for a while, and the sharing tool is back on the iPhone 11. It's a convenient tool for professionals or students who need to share documents, allowing iPhone owners to share files simply by pointing their phone.
  • Smart Display – The Retina display on the iPhone 11 goes even further than the iPhone 10, featuring “True Tone”, which responds to surrounding conditions to ensure perfect colour balance at all times.
  • Fast Charging and Excellent Battery – Apple's fast charging systems are probably the most efficient out there, replenishing 50% of the iPhone 11's charge in just 30 minutes. And users can also take advantage of wireless charging via Qi adapters, taking their smartphone use deep into the 21st century.
  • Total Convenience – Using the iPhone 11 is simpler than previous models, with the ability to turn it on with a single touch, and to pre-set shortcuts via Haptic Touch, putting the apps you use every day within easy reach.
  • The iPhone 11 Camera – Dual cameras on the iPhone 11 provide plenty of wide-angle and ultra-wide options for photographers, offering incredibly fast autofocus in low light situations, while allowing 4K video capture at 60fps. As a neat addition, when users zoom in on video footage, the microphones on the phone also “zoom”, allowing you to focus on exactly what needs to be captured, every time.
  • Smart HDR – Apple have gone all-in on AI with the cameras on the iPhone 11, including “Smart HDR”. This feature automatically detects faces in your images, applying any enhancements you select, and making them stand out from the background. At the same time, the chip on the iPhone is capable of detecting moving objects when taking video footage, then tracking them as you capture, ensuring no detail is lost.

Key iPhone 11 Specs
Those features make it pretty clear that the Apple iPhone 11 is one of 2019's most advanced smartphone releases, but as ever, the real power of the phone is contained in its specifications. So here's a quick cheat sheet showing the main specs of the standard iPhone 11:

Credit check on iPhone? Leave your credit check for mortgage.

Yes great advice here! We are only allowed one credit check in our lives
Not an apple fan but this finally looks decently priced if can't afford to buy outright
£20 deposit seems fine, but I think the 128 for £2 a month more makes more sense.

Cheap way to own the phone outright with a decent sim only deal.
LCD in 2019 just goes beyond me though...

I thought it was a good price and the 0% is very attractive, especially as I don’t like to be tied to a contract.
Don’t you need to a put £20 one off fee for Barclays finance?
Yes just read that also

To be fair probably not with 0% finance over 24 months?!

No it’s an initial £20 payment when you place the order, the balance is then spread over 24 months. Just ordered it and took out the 0% and it’s definitely just an initial deposit.

The credit check is for the finance, just the same as when you take out any 0% agreement or contract with a mobile provider.

Yes agreed but I listed the cheapest option, you can also buy the iPhone 11 pro but it’s a fair bit more.

They were at very with a bnpl code which took £100 off and got to pay within one year
Surely this is still a contract, but just for the phone.....

It’s not a mobile phone contract, but yeh it’s a contract with Barclays.
It’s a finance contract for 24 months interest free.
The 11 Pro 256GB is £49.99 per month if anyone was considering it
What happened to the XS, why can’t you buy that?

Tv+ is terrible though, absolutely no content worth watching just half a dozen series available. Hopefully it’ll improve

They’ve been offering this interest free deal for ages in the stores. I bought the XR like this from an Apple store when it first came out, and knew that Apple had been offering this for quite a while previously

A xiaomi reshmi or an apple
I bought a cheap runaround car for less than that. Honda, so made in the sane neck of the woods... 😏

What they were offering before was ‘iPhone Payments’ which worked similarly but involved a slightly larger initial payment and was over 20 months rather than 24.

I always wondered why they didn’t just do it this way in the beginning as 24 is how people tend to see phones (like with contracts) anyway.
