    Take care with eBay. I bought a an iPhone XS Max a few years back. It stopped working after 3 months as the seller had sold an upgrade and then stopped paying his contract (I believe he’d left the country).

    The phone was black listed so couldn’t connect to any network in the UK. I got lucky and managed to get my money back from PayPal but I wouldn’t want to rely on this 100pct.

    Probably Vodaphone left with stock of the last model phone, aren't allowed to sell new stock, so break the seals and then sell them at a discount as 'like new'
    They certainly won't be losing money though even at this discounted price.

    Like new means it’s condition is like new. You can find the retail value of the phone by typing “iPhone Pro Max 128gb” into Google.

    Which means what, precisely? That's it's a customer return, open box? Or that it's been used for a year but looks superficially in good condition?

    A price comparison vs. new, especially since this is now an older model and worth less, would certainly be useful information on a deals website.

    ….everyone is waiting for 13 pro max to be at a better price ...... especially in the 256gb option and higher ….. But because 14 pro max is more expensive it raises the prices of older models ……. Maybe something is going down on Black Friday

    Easily get through a full day of hammering. If you don’t use it much, it will last 2 days on a single charge.

    i have been 12 pro max for 2 years. At first it seemed big…. It's perfect now. Pro Max has a better camera, better batteries, Larger screen - more content on the screen…. easier to read and watch. £ 100 difference ……. If there was a price difference, it might be worthwhile to have only Pro versions

    No option to buy without a plan & terms say if you don’t remember to top up, your bundle will renew & you’ll pay base plan rates.

    I’m interested to buy but I’m happy on O2. Can I buy & then just not activate sim or do I need to activate & then insta cancel?

    Much cheaper on marketplace,gumtree etc. Got a 13 pro 256gb,in brand new condition and 100% battery,boxed,charging cable etc for £650.

    Yepp Gumtree is the place to go if you want a good dodgy deal or be out of.pocket and no phone. Not worth the hassle ️

    Would an iPhone 13 series get better mobile reception than my S21 FE? Other than the poor battery life, I find it gets worse reception than my previous Pixel 4a.

    I've always read reviews that praise the iPhones for their signal strength. However I'm surprised that you are getting poorer reception on the S20 FE compared to the Pixel as that also should have a Snapdragon processor and modem. It's the Exynos processors that have poor signal strength AFAIK.
    Edit: it could also be that Samsung work out/ display the signal bars differently but the reception being the same. Do you notice call issues or are you just going off the bars on the screen? (edited)

    Just received mine. I was initially a little worried when I was handed it by the dpd driver as it sounded like the phone might be loose loose inside the parcel. It was actually in a plastic bag inside a small generic cardboard box, so not cradled like an iPhone box although it is pristine, with apple warranty until July 2023 (Vodafone warranty for 12 months too). Lightening cable, sim ejector tool and sim card all in the box. Battery health 100%. As my first iPhone I'm very impressed already. Moved over from a Huawei mate 20 Pro so although it's a little heavier, the screen does not feel huge to me - glad I chose the pro max over the pro!

    I also panicked when I heard it knocking around inside the outer box!!. I’m surprised they don’t put something soft in there to absorb impacts.

    I think this phone is far better pick over the 14 max as you can have high refresh rate screen and extra camera and yes they have the same processor

    Is the 13 pro max still a good buy at £700-£800? I had a 13 mini for a few days this week and it was just too small for me. Trying to change my S21 FE as the battery life is killing me.

    This is definitely better than 14 max and new pros are way more expensive. I also bought a mini but not liking the size so considering different options as of now.

    Been an Android user for years and always wanted to try out an iPhone.

    My previous Samsung phone died unexpectedly, so got myself a Poco F3 as an emergency purchase. Ok phone but has its quirks.

    This was always a budget I had in mind but would have resulted in the entry level models, which carried some compromises (eg 60Hz display).

    Should last me a long time with Apples iOS updates.
