Can these be unlocked easily / cheaply?

8gb lol

Can get a £52+ cex voucher for trading this in.

More if it's unlocked.

Great price.

Is it locked or unlocked ??

Is it locked or unlocked ??

I would assume locked
However depends on its history, if its a refurb the previous owner may have had it unlocked

assuming this wont be much good for apps as they wont work on such an old os?

how is a locked phone a deal? don`t get it , but if this is for you good luck

apple are also obsoleting this very soon as well, but i think if you've got someone who would be happy with a basic smartphone that'll still do the job then this would be perfect.

hopefully they'll still have some next week when my two big casino payments clear as i'll gladly grab one.

how do you buy without selecting an 02 tarriff ??

Is this the 4s? If not so o2 do the 4s?

it's only for the sim type / allowance you want each month when you top up.

Perhaps that's the catch ?. I've often seen phones on sale where you have to spend a minimum amount on a top up card as well, so i suppose the effective price really is £49.99.

It's not the 4s

Thy unlock for u free off charge ?

looks like you buy and then get charged whatever tariff you select monthly , i assume using your card details that purchased ...does say you have 14 days to cancel though

This phone is 3g only! Sell on ebay for £50 so not worth it as ios 7 apps are starting to disappear and with apple things move on quickly!

If you are quick, you can get it for £69.99. White color in-stock

What do you mean by that? this phone came out nearly six and a half years ago and it's still pretty useable if your needs are basic. It's a lot more useable than many other phones of the same age.

They're obsoleting it? In that case you'd need to dowithoutlatestappsulate it

Buying this phone seems like a terrible idea unless you're opening an Apple museum

I have my personal phone and a workphone and im pretty sure its perfect to take calls and read, send emails so i dont get why its down voted

I think is an OK deal for a what once was a flagship phone
just bought to use whilst jogging

And coming soon...........as new VHS video recorders. oO

no option to choose without top up.

Try it: 1. Choose tariff /select a sim.. and scroll down to 2. Your package

If you are thinking of getting it for the O2 priority apps then please think twice. As the iphone4 can only up to iOS 7.11 and the O2 priority apps requires iOS 8.0 or later. I have the iPhone 4 before but due to the limitation with iOS I have to upgrade to iphone6.

It's not great for anything other than calls and texts, but I'm still using one. I get around a week out of a single charge.
It seems quite futuristic compared to the huge slabs people are carrying around these days.

It will be fine with iOS7 for a while. I only upgraded my 5s from iOS7 to iOS9 this summer and there were only a couple of apps out of the many I use that required iO8+ to download new versions. I had a 4 prior to that and downgraded from iOS7 back to iOS6 when I saw how ugly/slow the new version was.

It will be a bit sluggish but probably not as bad as the 4s on iOS9, which is very slow.

Read recently that Apple have requested developers to either update their apps to run the latest iOS as I think they'll soon be doing a purge to clean up the database and servers.

PS : voted hot, cheers OP could be a stocking filler too.

Exactly what i mean it was ok in the microsoft and apple mac years you can keep an old version of mac osx and keep current apps and not update! But with the ipad iphone they stop the app working if you so not upgrade! iOS 7 apps are starting to not to work in it! I know because my wife uses ios 6 on an ipad 2 as upgrading would slow it down and nearly all the apps do not work!

would this run Spotify?

Tempted for a spare phone and it's the phone that changed the game back in the mr jobs days , all I need is COURAGE and £39.99 to spend

A good price to own what was a bit of a game-changer for phones and iPhones in general. The Retina Display and modern design elements still look good today. I don't believe you can get a week out of this unless on WiFi only and as others have said iOS 7 is horrible on it.

Each new iteration seems to just slow things down without reason or decent new features and I notice some of Apple's own apps demand iOS 10 now.

Only if is brand new

I just had one of these that I traded in to CEX. Do not buy one unless you enjoy constant frustration. They are incomprehensibly slow now (that's from factory reset!).
