Is that the deal? ffs

Don't use this supplier they are crap, I bought 4s July 2014 with 12 month warranty. I sent my handset 9 time in 8 months for repair. Their phone are rubbish and refurbished by them.

Cold

Antiquated phone. Cold. I don't care how cheap you get it.

Junk. Straight to landfill

While admittedly I doubt anyone buying a 4s would have bought a £300 apple watch, this could actually be informational. Note the commenter didn't actually say hot or cold... Perhaps in this case you could have given them the benefit of the doubt before "ffs"ing them?

One should be wary of anyone selling "Refurbished" Apple products: they do not sell any replacement parts, their products are not designed to be serviced by 3rd parties and hence the only possible seller who could truthfully sell "Refurbished" Apple products is Apple themselves, or one of the big retailers who have an arrangement with Apple to distribute refurbished items.

So in a case like this where it is just an eBay seller, however reputable, the "refurbishment" will at best be a clean and external check. At worst they could actually be opening up the phone, exposing parts etc. and leaving it more likely to suffer issues.

Not bad

I'd take any moto g over this coldest iPhone ever

Backstreet repair shops are good with iPhones - a known quantity. Too much variety with older Android handsets.

Just making sure folk are aware ffs

I love the mugs paying over the odds on monthly contracts, getting their 'free' upgrade to an iPhone 6 or new Android phones, calling these 'junk' and 'landfill'. You mugs carry on paying out, I'll carry on reading my email, surfing the web with my 4gb data allowance, making unlimited calls and sending unlimited texts plus using dozens of apps and listening to music on my iPhone 4 for £15 a month. Does most of what your phone does for at least half the cash!

Hot great price for a iphone 4

4s is don't have 4 g . Just to be aware. I got one myself.

Hot for deal

Thieving Scum, Don't use this supplier they are crap, I bought a SUPPOSID Grade A 4s last week for someone's birthday with 12 month warranty. Their phone are rubbish and refurbished by them. The phone arrived broken and eBay and PayPay are on the case as I was left high and dry without a present and big long drawn out gaps in the messages from UNIVERSALGAGETS.

Do not buy if it has IOS8.

And on that note, if my posts are incorrect (as I presume you are implying by swearing at me) then please do direct me to where Apple sell spare parts for iPhones? I await your link with much anticipation!

A refurb old iPhone vs a cheap new modern (say 2014) smartphone? What can be had for £106? Which would you go for. Modern vs the iPhone?

The iPhone 4s is still a great phone. I only traded up to a 5s as I made the mistake of putting iOS 8 on and it became too sluggish. The terms refurbished and remanufactured are greatly abused on eBay. Personally I wouldn't ever trust it had been done properly unless it was done by Apple who pretty much do turn it into a new phone

IOS 8 kills this phone.

What you think of me is none of my business. I work for a company that refurbishes thousands of phones. Probably 75% are Apple phones. iPhone 4/4S are the most popular as there's a huge amount that require refurbishment. What you say is incorrect because you definitely can refurbish Apple phones to a very high 100% working standard and that's exactly what we do.

It's my job, proud of what we do and I imagine it's not your job to refurbish phones, so you lack knowledge and experience of the complexity involved in refurbishing phones. What you've said indirectly slates companies that do a professional job in refurbishing phones. So I stand up for those people I'd say there's more people doing a bad job of refurbishing phones then there are good. You need proper tools and significant investment in the tools to refurbish tools and the workforce skilled in repair.

You need iPad Mini 2 onwards and Apple iPad 4 onwards to run IOS without significant lag.

My 4s runs iOS 8 just fine. The early releases of iOS were dodgy right enough, but that's long since fixed.

Modern. Every time.

Absolute brick after the iOS9. Not worth buying.

When iOS9 comes out, the 4S will still keep working on iOS8 just fine, so not exactly a brick. Sure, it eventually won't be able to run the newer apps, but no one's saying that the 4S is future proof. All iPhones stop being updated with the newest iOS eventually.

I just bought one second hand trying to work out if its ios8 causing the WiFi not to work or a hardware problem.
It works for a small time after I reduce the temperature by putting in the freezer (not recommended) so hardware, software or both?

Buy a Nexus 4 for a mesmerising 130 bones instead.

Depends what you want. My iPhone 4 runs all my banking, shares, Facebook, Tapatalk, skyscanner, BBC and Sky News etc etc apps fine, plus as I said above, all the usual phone/email/text/Whatsapp etc. I don't have any apps that have stopped working and iOS 7 is fine, why the need to change for the sake of change? As I said earlier, buying a phone and putting it on sim only is for the savvy buyer, let the lemmings run for the latest models and pay through the nose for them. I'm more than happy for the older models to be considered 'junk' and 'landfill' by people with more money than sense. It means I can buy the older version of the iPhone cheaply every year or two, sell my old one for half what I paid and reap the financial rewards. My actual phone cost over my £15 a month sim only? About £30-40 a year. Lemmings phone cost? £200-300 plus a year. Carry on you lemmings - I'll have your old phone for peanuts at 'free' upgrade time lol.

No wonder Apple can get away with their unholy markups if this is considered a hot deal. Apple fans feel like to pay more than the item is worth so they can call other people cheap. They usually fall for the old myth "You get what you pay for" because to know anything more about what they are buying would tax their brains too much.

I've used this company. I voted hot simply cause I have had a fault (the wifi failed) a known issue. However, after doing all the totally useless resets etc, the company was quick to accept return and fixed it. That's what the warranty is for. It's all about expectations, I was annoyed but the system worked. The phone wasn't brand new and as expected a problem was fixed. I hope I won't have any other probs, but my experience so far although annoying initially, it has been good.
