What this company like?
iPhone 5 grade a going for £440 to...

I bought my 32GB iPhone 4 from them in April & got a 60 day warranty included. They sell on eBay too, so prior to making my purchase I checked their feedback etc & there wasn't a bad word said. The phones are refurbs & sold in 3 different grades depending on the condition of the phone. Mine was classed as a grade B but was in pristine condition... No problems with these guys at all!

Heat added xx
Important to point out this is for a grade B.
I purchased a grade a Iphone 4s for £279.99 from them a while back. No problems.

It needs pointing out that these are not NEW phones in the title
And this has been posted before so why is it getting heat?

Edit - It's 'phone' and not 'fone' - I don't usually pull people up on spelling but that's just ridiculous ffs.

Not a bad price for a 4s IF it was new, shame it's secondhand or refurb though. Waiting for my brand new Nexus 4 for the same price...oh wait 279.99....when it ever comes into stock

how did you get a grade A for that price?
Great deal. I have the iphone 5 and I bought that for £700, prices nowadays have shot up! But the 4s is a great phone and thats a good price too!
Got a grade C GNex from them and all it had wrong was three light scratches. I would use them again.
not wanting that deal, but gr8 headsup or the company! have some heat
Was going to buy this a while back until I realised it doesn't come with original box, charger or headphones. Just the phone and USB cable.
This is far cheaper then local papers and with a 60 day guarantee and it won't be black listed the day after you buy it.
bought HTC one x grade b , wipes the floor on previous iPhone 4 . so much better graphically , speed and screen size . £ 5 quidco too .
graded stock

That's a great point. I was looking to buy a '2nd hand' iphone but with all the problems with the IMEI being possibly blocked, I think this is a good deal...
Yea all it takes is for some one to start a contract in a false name. Get a brand new Iphone 4s, leave it unopened and then advertise it as "unwanted upgrade". Get home never pay a bill and the phone gets black listed by network.

Either that or gets reported to police as stolen.
Let's put this deal in perspective, in respect to all other phones in the same price bracket, namely the Nexus 4.

First and foremost, I need make an admission, I too was caught by allure of the Nexus 4 specs, on paper it's seems amazing and bargain at £279. Now, this is where a dose of reality is required, once you actually check comprehensive benchmarks, synthetic and real this phone is nowhere in the league of the iPhone 5, that's to be expected. What may surprise is you, an iPhone 4s knocks of the pants off it in graphics department too, the same can be said to the nexus 7 vs the old gen specs of the new iPad mini. When you consider this, the Nexus 4 or 7 ain't that cheap afterall on the performance front.

It's not all rosie on the Apple front though, Nexus range may not excel or on par at best against 4S or iPad 2 & mini, the nexus 4 has larger high res screen and faster processing power (not graphically) but that's negated by a sub par OS as its still not as polished as iOS (my opinion). As for the the nexus 7, yes the screen is higher res buts it's a pretty poor screen, low colour gamut and not so bright screen - like a dark overlay.

All in all the nexus range is a better buy but not a bargain by any stretch of the imagination. Google have hit the price point perfect with a well balanced set of specs (despite what most think on paper)

Well, it's from the smartfonestore, so technically it's an iFone.

Not sure what this Nexus review has to do with people looking for an Iphone 4S with 60 day warranty !

I bought an iPhone 4s 64gb off them recently and was well pleased.
I waited ages for them to have a grade A in stock, and then gave up waiting and got a grade B off them. When it arrived (which was quick) I couldn't see a mark on it, and I,ve had no problems.
Some people are spending way too long on this website
Thanks
Cheapest 4S for a while.

imo Nexus 4 16GB is better for money still.
Are these unlocked by any chance?
I bought a grade c iphone 4 off them a couple of weeks ago and although it did not look brand spanking new, it was pretty good and well better than expected. No scuffs just the odd spec on the metal trim, and one hairline scratch on the back. Front was perfect.

Check out refurbiphones.co.uk as an alternative - slightly more expensive, but good rep and have grade As in stock.
Chanda

Are these unlocked by any chance?

it does say which network it is locked on website, some are unlocked.
Seems like a fair price any suggestions what network for sim only deal ??
These phones all have Simlocks, I was expecting unlocked handsets
Can they be unlocked? Thinking of getting one with a Tesco SIM.
Tenex

Yup, lot of unlocking options in ebay
They seem quite cheap 2nd when you consider the majority are purchased via a £750++++ contract.
Not a bad price
Mr jim e bones

how did you get a grade A for that price?

That is their price for A grade 4S locked to Orange. I did have to wait a few days for one to come in stock but I just kept checking.
Bought a Grade B 4S off them a while ago. It was in almost perfect condition with a couple of scratches on the back and a couple of marks on the metal band but I was pleased overall. However, I found the screen far too small and it was a bit slower than my Galaxy Nexus. I asked to return it and to my surprise they were happy to allow this. They even sent me a Special Delivery bag in the post so all I had to do was drop it off at the post office, and the refund was in the next day.
So if you do go for this deal and find yourself unhappy with the device for whatever reason, rest assured as smartfonestore are a great company to deal with.

well it is an official slang word
quote urban dictonary

944. fone

Slang for phone. It is used by people who don't fully understand the English language and feel the need to spell it phonetically. Or somehow think that not typing in one letter saves them time.
