This was posted earlier on today by someone who didn't understand how this deal works. I bought it, and waited till the confirmation email to confirm it!

24 months x £10
1 month (although some claim they got this refunded) x £17.

Cancel the airtime plan immediately and just pay the phone plan upfront. Bargainsaurus Rex.

See here for details of how to obtain this price - I've been in hospital all evening and am shattered so won't bother with the details now: hotukdeals.com/dea…e=7

Taken from o2 refresh FAQ:

What if I want to leave O2 and end my O2 Refresh plan?
You just need to pay off whatever's left on your Phone Plan. Then you can either sign up to a new plan, or leave O2. If you'd like to leave O2, after you pay off your Phone Plan, ask us for your PAC code or give us notice to cancel your account.

Can I settle my credit agreement early?
Yes. You can settle your credit agreement partially or in full at any time by giving us notice and making a payment on your Phone Plan. If you wish to settle early you should contact us on 202 free from your mobile for a final settlement figure and we can take your payment over the phone.

This has to be too good to be true? Doesn't it?

IMO, hottest deal of the year. Kinda found by shef19, but I don't think he realised what an unbelivable offer this is. Blows away the previous offer of £390 that I was going to go for before the price rocketed to about £500.

Seems like it, but the previous refresh offers have all worked out.
great deal... how about any cashback on this?

Still not quite getting it, so u sign up for monthly plan for phone and airtime

Cancel airtime and then pay for the phone?

    I blame the heat
I've just checked it out - looks like it works! I've just ordered a galaxy mega, but this is too good to miss out on. Cheers op.
I dont want an iphone but I could make money on this

Didn't bother to include it - some people got £50, some got £101 by keeping the airtime contract long enough. I can't be fussed with cashback on a price this low.
It's going to get hot in here!
Phone sucks now, but still a good deal.

Like I said, I have confirmation and an email with tracking details for the phone to be delivered tomorrow morning. If there's a problem cancelling the airtime, then I'll simply return it, although like I said previously, no-one else has had any big problems with O2 refresh.

I'm a student £120 into my overdraft and I got it fine. Should be ok
How can the price plan be canceled and phone be kept?? Don't get that part, isn't price plan like contract?? If so, when the contract is canceled don't we have to return the phone too??!!??

You're effectively having two direct debits, one for the phone (the £10 one) and the one for the airtime agreement (the £17 one)

Your phone plan is £10 a month for 24 months = £240. However, once you've paid that off you are free to do what you like, either upgrade your phone, carry on paying just your airtime plan or cancel the contract. The phone is yours either way.
I think its £17 per month plus £10 per month
Are u sure u can cancel the air time?

I'd say pay off the phone agreement first, then cancel the airtime agreement, but yeah, its perfectly possible.
There has to be some sort of catch on this otherwise O2 wouldn't be making any money especially on this deal oO
If you cancel the airtime, don't you have to pay the full contract length? So 24 months at £17?

No catch, the benefit to O2 is they are getting money in the coffers far quicker than a standard 24 month contract.
No fee for cancelling the Airtime contract?
They might just have loads of return units to get rid of
You will have to pay 24 months of £17 a month surely. Just like any other contract, you pay the remainder of the contract, you cannot just cancel for £17.

No. The airtime agreement effectively becomes a 30 day tariff once the handset is paid for.
What people are forgetting here is that the phone is refurbished. Personally I'm an android fan, even if I could get this phone brand new at this price I wouldn't even think about it.

Like I said, check the link in the OP to see how this works (although that deal was markedly worse than this!)
I hate Hotukdeals .........do i need iphone 5......No
    Did i just order it..........Yes

Where does it say you can cancel the airtime? In the basket it quite clearly shows the airtime is a 24 month contact

I am a bit confused. The iphone 5 offer looks to work out to £360 for the phone. Is this right as its either £15x24 months or £10x24 months+£129 up front.

    Is this correct?
could it be done by overseas people?

Just choose the £17 airtime option, the phone has no upfront cost and is £10 a month.

Once you pay off the 24 lots of £10 (whch you can do whenever you like) the contract is free to cancel, so no more £17 airtime bills..
