unlocked? or is there an easy unlock?

Maybe these are stupid questions but what option should I pick, will I have to pay for any top-up and can this be unlocked?
Edited by: "stingergb" 8th Mar

Why have you expired?.. I still see this as £129.99 on payg

Interested to know if these are unlocked

why expired? I just went thru link, can choose a "like new" perfectly fine iphone 5s for £4 per month x24 + £9.99 = £105.99 total, seems a bargain.

Where is the £4 a month one?

Just ordered
"Apple iPhone 5s 16GB Space Grey Perfectly Fine Like New
16GB Space Grey" for 129.99 on pay as you go

you have to keep fiddling with it as the price keeps moving around but its still available, posted this in another deal earlier, you can get them for as cheap as £105. When you do the refresh process, make a call, this activates it on the o2 system, request unlock, pay off phone and cancel air time.

go for the £9.99 upfront and £29 a month
Duration of credit agreement 24 months
Upfront cost £9.99
Monthly device payment £4.00
Total Credit amount £96.00
Total amount payable for device £105.99

looks like they have updated again, that's not showing as like new, was the same earlier today

£4 per month device charge, you would cancel the £9 per month call-text-data part of the package (see £13 per month deal).

For me £199 for a new one at Argos is the better deal. Yeah these used ones might by open box but it's a gamble. I guess one could return it if say the battery is knackered or other glitches. Lucky dip?

When I ordered it said "Perfectly Fine Like New" @ 129.99 but if it is locked then that's something else to consider (expect it will be). Also you have 14 days to return it, and though I didn't check the terms I'm presuming that covers you too?

Hmm this or a 'Perfect' like new iPhone SE 16gb for £221.99. Decisions...

probably worth going for the se if you can afford it. it will last far longer on updates than the 5s and is a decent price as well

There are 3 sub-groups within 'Like New': Perfect, Almost Perfect and Perfectly Fine. The latter could have scrapes on the screen apparently.

If you have the extra money it's really not a hard decision, SE is all but a 6s in 5s size and will accept updates for years to come 5s will stop shortly. O2 has new SE a couple of weeks ago at the same price haven't checked recently but worth a look.

Since when does it cost £20 to unlock? It was free when I got an SE through O2 referesh in December.

Surely updates won't stop for 5s. They'll keep ramming updates down your throat until you get annoyed with the popups and/or slowness before you decide to get their next rip off device. I have an ipad mini.

they stop ios updates, ipads 2 and 3 stopped with ios10, only a matter of time before they stop this but to be honest, i would be waiting before doing an update on a 5S to 11 as it could make them run so slow.

My point was that the op has put the wrong price / description for the listing . He's put £ 129.99 and associated it with a like new handset which is false and should be changed.

Nice deal

Any voucher codes please? oO

Deal seems hot, as it's very difficult to get a "perfect" one for £179.99 elsewhere, however... I paid £309 for a 64GB iphone SE last week, to me £179.99 seems a little high for a device that was released in September 2013. I assume it's a 16gb version too? IMO I don't think it's a good investment, you'll lose money on it even within 6 months if you tried to sell it. I'm voting hot, as per the rules, but I don't think it's recommended.

Thanks, I just tried to cancel but it was too late, they've sent it. I will now have to go through the returns process
For those who changed their mind the contact number to call is 0344 809 0222 to cancel or arrange return. Damn, should've gone for the SE but had issues with refresh deal a couple of years ago and it was a pain so will wait for a proper pay as you go offer. Cheers All

Avoid O2 refresh if you can. Even if you follow the process exactly and cancel the airtime they can sometimes 'accidentally' debit your bank account for the entire 24 months airtime, takes weeks to get this back. Also in my case they also issued a bogus credit default (and didn't tell me anything about it) and therefore it destroyed my Experian credit rating. It look me a alot of time, hassle and effort to correct the credit default error.

All for a slightly cheaper second hand iphone 6 (in my case). Never again

Or buy the SE on PAYG for £249. I'm sure some would rather pay the slight extra and not have a) an extra entry on their credit file b) potential refresh process issues.

But good deal for those that don't mind going through the refresh process.

But on PAYG, o2 won't unlock it for 12 months and then they charge you £15. You can do it straight away for free on refresh.

Yes but don't u think stopping updates for ipads 2 and 3 were long overdue? Don't see why they can't taper off the updates earlier or at least allow people to hide the updates permanently so that old devices are still usable. And yes I know - planned obsolescence.

In all the above info's, neither OP's Deal Post, or anyone else, has mentioned the internal 'storage space' of this iPhone 5s going forward?.

I'm guessing that that's not as important again ..... :-)

Totally agree, didn't see the payg ones but if o2 still unlock for £15 as soon as you get it, they did at Christmas then that's the way to go unless the extra cash is better in your pocket as it is for some.

Would have said yes to the 2 as the two we have were grinding to a halt before the last update anyway, our 3 that was fine not many apps, email and browsing all fine then suddenly it too starts grinding to a stop. Wonder what that could be......just don't mention planned obsolescence to Appe

Please can someone post the link to the SE on PAYG for £249 as it seems like a good deal but can't find it on O2 site.
