iOS takes over 50% of the available memory, piece of junk!

No it doesn’t
Dual-core 1.4 GHz. and only 1GB ram for £100 second hand in 2018 is awful. But it has an Apple badge and that's what you chumps go for.

What’s the 10% off eBay store?
battery will be shagged on these, but for 25 quid you can get apple to renew with a brand new battery.

To unlock Vodafone phone then go to Order Free Sim on Vodafone’s website then keep sim in phone for 30 days. Once 30 days has elapsed then fill in form with that phone number and iPhone IMEI. I would recommend keeping the Vodafone sim in the phone for the full 30 days not taking it out.

Pssst, core count hasn’t been reprenstive of speed since 2012 in the mobile space.

This dual-core is on-par with plenty of android Quid/Hex core chips.

You can often get unlock codes from ebay for £2-£10 depending on the phone so it is very possible that it would be cheaper than buying the unlocked version.

Not about specs for Apple devices, all about the optimized software, there's a reason why android specs are generally much better on paper than Apple's.
1GB Ram.

Steer clear of all, I repeat ALL iPhones before iPhone 6S & 6S Plus. After all, these devices are investments that is supposed to last at the very least three years.
iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus generation devices are already strategically excluded and the #bendgate is a cherry on the top.

Not when they're using the same arm cores. The 8 core ones are often misleading as they operate in a big/little process demand system so you only have 4 active cores doing work. But an arm11 dual vs an arm11 quad at the same frequency and transistor count per core. The quad would destroy it. And this is still a 4 year old phone with only 1GB of ram to work with. Just not worth it.
Apple cores are more Intel like in design, fat and power hungry. That is why Meltdown seems to hit them all and why the batteries died so fast.

Yes, they are faster cores.

It doesn't really matter what the spec is if it works does it, if you want iOS what other options do you have? As I can't decide on one or the other I have both but then I don't have a 6 either. I don't get what this incessent need to spam the same threads with the same anti-Apple propaganda is - does it make your own justification for what phone you use better somehow?

No I guess the specs don't matter at all as long as it works. 100MHz single core chips with 32MB of ram for all of us! Hell lets go back to 64x32 screens in 256 colours since specs don't matter. Maybe money doesn't matter either. Maybe that's why you're an apple fan. Because you're too stupid to know what to do with money and you want apple to think for you.

Maybe you need to work on your reading comprehension and anger issues...

If you want iOS, then no, it doesn't matter because you don't have much choice. There are still people using 4/4S handsets perfectly happy. The 6 works fine still (but 1GB is a bit tight nowadays).

I also have a Sony XZ1 Compact, I said I use both OSes in my original comment because I want the flexibility. I guess you missed that as well.

Have a good bank holiday and enjoy getting back to whatever you were doing. Hopefully this ordeal didn't stress you out too much

Try running some demanding stuff on it. Try running one of the modern demanding games. Spec doesn't matter of course. Neither does a ruined battery. Have a wonderful day.

I don't think anyone spending £100 on a phone is expecting it to run demanding games. I don't think anyone spending £100 would expect an Android phone to run demanding games either, given that decent iOS and Androids will be nearer £500. But sure, keep making more and more assumptions (ruined battery; maybe it'll have a cracked camera lens and water damaged charge port as well, you might as well toss that into the mix).

A £100 NEW Android phone would have vastly superior specs to this and be a lot more capable than a second hand 4 year old phone with an unknown history. But, your money. Do what you will, enjoy.

I don't want an iPhone 6, if I were in the market for a used low-cost iPhone, I would pay a little more for the SE or 6s.

I am trying to show the other side of the debate and some people want iOS only - that was my original point that you completely ignored before you went off on one. If you want iOS only (because Android is too complex for some), you don't have a lot of choice.
