Agreed I’ve used MusicMagpie over the past couple years to buy my iPhone and ‘Good’ condition should have been pristine. I couldn’t find a scratch on it anywhere, this year however I started having issues with my phone after 3 months and they agreed to do a return for another phone which took less than 5 minutes to do waiting to receive the new one soon
I have got a iphones from these and giffgaff and both were in decent condition for the price.

If it’s really bad you can of course return.

Call it the Apple premium (pretty irrational)

I got a "good" and literally had a few scratches on the frame on a Samsung s8 - with a case on doesn't matter. To save £30/40 it's always a good deal I think
I’m sure Jet Black was only available in 128gb and 256gb. If this is 32gb, it’ll be Matte Black

Here we go why is it that phone threads become like a local football derby?
The battery’s current maximum capacity figure is the bit of info I’d really want to know before buying any refurb iPhone.

Zzz why bother posting in the thread, it’s so tiring trying to read a thread with every other post being like this

There isn’t built in obsolesce, just don’t update and change the battery every 500 cycles. Your phone will be as speedy as it was on day one pretty much. My entire family runs on iPhones and as long as you look after them you can easily get 3-5 years out of an iphone.

After 5 yers do they become too slow to use or can you still get some use out of them?
With iOS 12 they run well for a good few years.
Probably some crackheads phone

Music Magpie = Bandits

Wow haha, I assume you've had a bad experience?
It’s a 2 plus year old phone now. So prices will drop. It was &219 on giffgaff before Christmas. So most likely the easy option for people to get rid of them.

Nice one!
I bought a "good condition" iPhone from Music Magpie 6 weeks ago, it had 82% battery health (requires replacement), the liquid contact indicator (the small white tab hidden in the SIM tray) had turned orange which generally means the device is water damaged or otherwise tampered with, and it was fitted with a fake non-Apple screen.

I was able to return it, but the quality control of their handsets is abysmal.
Which isn’t an issue with the warranty.

Its it’s a lot more risky buying from gumtree and eBay.
I bought a black iphone 7 128g from MM last week for £220 was supposed to grade c and it’s immaculate, not a scratch on it and i got a warranty so what more could you ask for

I sold my iPhone 5S to Music Magpie a while back. Never again. The phone was in A1 condition having being kept in a case with screen protector from new.

They tried the familiar tactic of claiming issues with the phone once in possession, slashing the offer price to peanuts (from £130 to £30).

I instructed them to return the phone, which they did. However, it was minus the retail packaging, headphones and charger meaning that my eBay resale value was hit.

A long messy fight ensued but I got it resolved in the end by tracking down the email address of the CEO Steve Oliver.

Bandits. Avoid.

A Samsung
I’d advise against a jet black one. You can’t avoid the microabrasions even in a case. I have this phone and while it’s a great phone and this is a great price the glossy surface starts to look terrible very quickly
Anyone know how to unlock this?

At launch, but they released jet black in all storage when apple announced the iPhone 8

If your not playing games or need specific apps then they can last till you break them. I always get 3 year out of every upgrade I get, I might even get 4 year out of this 6s.

I guess it’s luck of the draw with Giffgaff too. We got a 7 Plus last week with minimal wear on the case and an immaculate screen. Battery health is 92%, which seems reasonable to me.
