Apple iPhone 7 32GB New & sim free £499 @ GiffGaff

Found 15th Nov
I was looking for a new iPhone 7 as I have a great tariff on EE which I didn't want to lose by signing up to a new contract with EE.

Found this iPhone 7 on GiffGaff which is unlocked/sim free so open to any network. At this price I think you'd be looking at a refurbished iPhone 7 but this one is brand new.

Either buy it for £499 or monthly for £23.53 and add your sim. Possibly a much cheaper way of getting a decent phone and keeping any of the great current sim only deals listed on this site.

Spec etc is on the link, but I think you all know what an iPhone is so I didn't think I'd bore you with it.

Do you need a giffgaff sim to activate the phone?

Yes you have to buy a sim as well even if you don’t use itor at least you used to.

Great price but check the o2 refresh deals can get some bargains if you want to to the refresh trick.

Love I’ve seeing these deals makes me happy with my savings having paid £267 for a o2 refresh 7 wasn’t classed brand new but still had 11.5 months of apple warranty.

No just pop any sim in and it will work.

That’s not right, just checked and unless you are a customer you have to buy a goody bag so the price is £509

For a 24 month deal for phone only with no upfront cost it’s not too bad, but I just signed up on mobiles.co.uk for same phone 24 months / 12gb data, £60 upfront cost for £29 and I feel that’s a slightly better deal. Best deal for a current iPhone 7 imo.

Granted you have to pay for a goodybag when you order the payment, but you don't need to carry it on after the first month, so around 35ish quid for first months payment, then 23.53 for the remaining months. Phones unlocked so they will take another sim without a problem.

But I guess if you factor in another sim only you'd be paying around 33 - 35 quid for a iPhone 7 with a decent allowance a month..

Yes but the point is you have to pay it so you replied to the other person was wrong and it should also be in the price in the title.

Thats not right, if you do indeed need a GiffGaff sim you can buy the cheapest goodybag for £5.

So the price would be £504.

Why should it be in the title? Lots of people already have a GiffGaff sim.

Even if it's £5 on top of £499 this still a great price for this phone.

You can get a A grade iPhone 6 or a 6s starting from £180 with a very similar spec / features & most importantly the same size! from various websites, Apple phones are great but far TOO overpriced!

Not saying it’s not but any deal has to have the full price GG customer and non previous deals have had it. I don’t think you can add a £5 goody bag when buying a phone check it as a new customer and the lowest is a tenner.

edit just checked and recent deals haven’t included it so title is correct though people still moan about it

I have 18 phones most of them 20 GBP off eBay with 2gb ram that are as good as this, what's your point?!? This is a 7 not a 6s or a bendy 6 it's 1 2 generations newer. I have an iPhone 5c that's 20 gbp. If you want a 7 then this is the best price ATM it's not a hot deal though which is what this site is about not the best price you can get cold from me

So far no one has moaned about it... Well almost no one!

Keep an eye on this page O2 refresh , I just got iPhone 7 Plus 128GB 'Perfectly fine' for £460 last week. Phone is like new with 11 months Apple warranty. They add some stock every couple of days so worth checking.

Fair point but this phone is sim free, O2 phones would only work on that network, until unlocked.

O2 where I live is garbage hence the option of a sim free phone is much more appealing.

How bizarre... How bizarre. Duhhh duhhh drrrrr duhhh durrrrrr how bizarre.

iPhone 8 64GB for £560 at Very seems the better deal.

"...I have a great tariff on EE which I didn't want to lose..." yet you'll splash FIVE HUNDRED QUID on a phone - and it's a bl**dy iPhone at that!

Rather than comment here, why don't you post it then?

Seems a lot of folk on here would rather do that?

No not at all... but there always seems to be far too many 'members' like yourself, on here who comment with nothing but criticism. It's not what this site is about.

From your comment you obviously have no interest in iPhones but feel the need to berate me when all I'm trying to do is help others. Why?

I'm trying to pass on money saving advice to others with a similar interest.

The old adage, if you have nothing good to say then you're better off saying nothing, would probably be my advice.

Actually you can unlock it very easily for free using O2 refresh trick, have a look at this thread.
Mine is already unlocked and paid off in full.

Expired as £539 now.

I've offered the best advice of all: open your eyes, get off the iPhone drug and recognise that these 'top end' phones are a rip off, all of them. This is a deals site and five hundred quid for a phone, any phone, is not a good deal it's an obsession.

My opinion is as valid as any other. You can accept it or reject it but taking it personally because you posted it is pointless.
