Yeah John Lewis is good for tech as you get 2 year guarantee but sometimes items are not in stock the ones you want
Anyone who realistically is going to need a phone with 128GB of storage. Is not going to want one with this size of screen.

I can safely say that as I type on a 64GB SE with about 30GB free after a year of use. I do have games loaded on and about 3,000 photos.

The problem is for watching video, that would fill it, the screen is too small to be comfortable. Gaming wise it's difficult to hit the smaller buttons.

As a final point Argos have shocking Customer service when it comes to tech and their website and stock control deserves to be put down.

John Lewis, is vote hot for principle of price. For Argos I'll sit on the fence.
Bought a new space grey 64gb one from smartfonestore yesterday for £299
Happy enough with that
They also have new 128gb ones for £324 delivered
Unlock from O2 for £10 and your sorted128gb iPhone Se for £324 link

You could also get one from o2, 32gb for a total of £216. There's a £69.99 upfront discount on Refresh, pay off the remaining £216 the next day and end the airtime contact. O2 will also unlock the device for free

Which tariff, etc, is this please?Best I can see is 12 pm handset cost with no upfront, so £288 not £216?

Any unlimited call/text tariff from 1gb onwards, though which tariff you select is irrelevant because you'll be cancelling the airtime after settling the device plan any company owned o2 store will accommodate you, I work for o2 and even I find the website awful to comprehend. The upfront discount was to make up for the discontinuation of the 5s, and was due to end on Sept 8th but it's been extended for a little while so don't hang around if you want to go for it.

So is this in store only? For example selecting the 5GB tariff is £0.00 upfront, £12 pm device plan. So that’s £288.

The £69.99 upfront ones are £9 pm device plan. Which makes £216, but obviously have to add the £69.99 so the same (well, £285.99).

We manually discount the £69.99 as a marketing promo on the till so I'd presume it's instore only. And yes, it's taken off the £9pm device plans leaving the total cost £216. Do note it's only available on the 32gb's - I personally need way more!

What makes you think people use their phones the same way you do? I don't watch video or play games on my 64GB and yet it's always full.

Are you going to give us a clue?
I'm intrigued what takes up so much space that wouldn't really benefit from being used on a larger screen.
I'd guess music but streaming covers most of that. Books, PDF files?

I should add I'm not one for large phones. I downsized from a 6 to SE

I don't expect everyone to use a phone the same way is do. However media consumption is one of the main drivers of smart phones. Making them very visual and visual uses tend to benefit from larger screens while consuming storage.

Hi, if I understand correctly you got iPhone SE 32gb for £216 O2 in store today. What promotion did you ask for? Have they unlocked there and then? Did you have to pay for it? Thanks in advance.

Hey buddy.. what about apps ?

I'm a (wanna-be) musician and some apps are several Gb..

That's it's secondary function - primarily it's a phone & I choose the size for it's main purpose.

That's my point. It's a nice portable size. Yes you can use it for other purposes but it isn't ideal.
I didn't state EVRYONE buying a smaller phone must get a smaller size. I did state that typically most people who need that kind of staorage would not have a smaller phone.

Hi.. was just responding to your query below.. it seems like you requested a clue as to what space consuming things aside from games and media could occupy the large capacity phones..

Hey! Just responding to your query as it looks like you might not have got your answer. All you need to do is ask for the se 32gb on an unlimited call/text tariff on 1gb or over on a Refresh plan, the £69.99 upfront will be discounted (leaving the total device plan at £216) and you call customer service the following day to cancel your airtime plan and request a free unlatch.

I think you should also say that, doing this can have an impact on your credit rating, and whilst you have the legal right to do this O2 are being increasingly difficult in terms of billing complications in some cases, so for some the method works fine and smoothly, but it's not always plain sailing.
