Ahh... I bought an iPhone SE 16gb “good” from MusicMagpie in the recent eBay offer

It was £51.99 and locked to Vodafone

It came yesterday. Great first impression. A few scratches/marks on the back and side. Screen immaculate. Fired up, works fine. Battery health is at 86% which I guess means it must be about 2 years old.

Thus far works flawlessly. Updates straightaway to iOS 12.3.1 after setting it up simply by bringing existing phone close to it. Within an hour had apps on board.

Reason for purchase is for my 8yo to use it as a camera for photos and making stop motion video. Absolutely perfect for this price honestly can tell no difference between it and my own now-aging iPhone 6s except the screen is smaller and in fact perfect for his hand size.

Great phone for a ridiculous price, makes a mockery of the £1000 price for new iPhones which have only minor improvements over this device.
This phone is a little pocket rocket, £65 is a bargain.

Wouldn't go that far. if the battery is any good then it's alright. Pot luck on how old the one you get is!

I also went via their eBay shop and got the 20% off deal for another iPhone. Don't know if that's still on though?
Funny how as soon as the PARTY code disappeared all the prices dropped! Was about this price with the PARTY code before! Good little phone - I had a Lifeproof case that fits it so it makes a handy phone to run with that fits in my belt; nothing looks more ridiculous than someone running with a Plus-sized iPhone strapped to their arm . I am going to try and unlock mine so I can use a Three Reward SIM in it or find one on Three (rare these days).

Yeah, the 16gb locked one was £59.99
Apologies mrswitch, but I voted Cold purely because of the seller. In my experience a joke of an outfit. Beware.

Typing this out on my original SE as we speak. The only reason I haven’t upgraded is because Apple haven’t released a new version of this compact masterpiece! If it had a slightly better battery, slightly better camera and a faster processor it would be absolutely perfect.... Wish Apple would listen to people who don’t want a giant phone in their back pocket!
I’ve actually just started using my SE again in place of my XS (I’m sure I’ll go back eventually). Probably the opposite of what’s meant to happen but as it’s so much smaller I feel the need to use it less for non phone related tasks. I wanted one of those Punk’d phones or similar to use my phone less but that’s just way too restricted with no banking apps and such so this is a good middle ground for a semi-detox.
I bought a "good" one via their store on ebay - was like new, battery fine.

It’s actually quite the opposite. Apart from O2 who do it for free, Vodafone is by far the cheapest and fastest for iPhones. Unlock on eBay is about £2.00 and has worked every time I’ve used it over the years.
Is there a good alternative to this deal, looking for a first phone for my child starting secondary school and don’t want to pay too much. Thank you

Here here. I love my iPhone but the new ones are just too big. And maybe I am sad but I like the simple reassurance of the home button over the obsession with the whole device being a screen and having “gestures” instead.
