I know this deal will not suit most people but if you want a mobile plus ipad and dont want to pay up front then this may suit you.

I'm personally going for the 2,500 minutes, unlimited texts, 8GB data.

As per bullet points below you can change you plan (up or down) monthly if you want so if you are using less you can save some money.

If you are a VM customer you can also get free Virgin 2 Virgin voice calls plus

  • Change your 4G plan up or down every month
  • Roam like home in 43 destinations

So your paying £900.00 for a iPad and iPhone SE and this is a deal, how is this a deal that's a rip off you can get a iPad and a iPhone SE both for £500.00 so your paying £400.00 more just to pay them monthly for 3 years that's like being in a contract for 36months and the price could go up with RPI every year. I think this could've been a good dea if it was a IPhone X and IPad 2018 model for £25.00 on a 2 year contract, but this is not really a deal it's a mug

I see what you are saying..

But you want £600 for an iPhone X, iPad 2018 plus the phone tariff with it?

Yes I want it now, can you get it for me thanks 🤪
Keep in mind of their RPI increase.
3 year contracts should not exist. 2 year is bad enough but after 3 years the technology is almost obsolete - you almost have to replace it with a SIM-free device by then. And the SE in his ‘deal’ is already due for replacement any day now. 3 year contracts are fiscally irresponsible...

I went and had a look anyway and the ‘choose plan’ button doesn’t work, so how do you see exactly what’s on offer?

You can save a lot if you do this differently OP. I bought (last month) a new sealed SE through eBay auction for £158 delivered (took couple of weeks of bidding and missing out because I was set on getting for under £175) and have myself been looking at iPads last few days. On eBay again I am looking to spend no more than £400 & that should get me a new sealed 1st gen 9.7" iPad pro. Or closer to £300 for 2018 standard one (again new & sealed). With a 0% card for payment or Paypal's own credit you can spread the cost then all you need is a good sim only plan. I got last months EE 40gb deal with £100 Amazon voucher for £25 pm over 2 years.

No, it's not £900 for iPhone & iPad alone - there's 3 years of cellular connection in there too. Even if we agreed the 8gb pm is only worth £5 pm thats £180 off the £900 so you're getting the iPhone and the 2018 iPad for £720. If the 8gb is worth £7.50 pm you're getting the hardware for £630. If the 8gb is worth £10 pm you're getting the hardware for £540.

C’mon liking all your own comments... seriously!

3 years anything with a phone contract is irresponsible, if the monthly payments are too high for 2 years or less then you might need to re-evaluate.

It’s actually pretty sad that’s why no-one else does it...

3 years is too long for mobile technology, for phones anyway, something that you charge every day at least will have had just under 1,100 charge cycles so your battery will not be in a good state and no idea about the actual cosmetics. You know exactly what I meant. If buying SIM-free or even a 12 or 24m contract is not an option but a 36m one is (maybe £10 cheaper per month at a guess) then buying a phone right now should not be that person’s number one priority as for money to be that tight, there are other problems brewing and that situation may worsen in those 3 years.

I'm bowing out - good day to you, Sir.
Sim only for me and buy the I pad off shpok for £250
My iPad is a bit over four years old and I estimate that the battery has about 2/3 of the original capacity.

And use a 0% 3 year credit card to buy them and itll be a lot less than £25 a month for 3 years
This is an absolute ripoff for the now-outdated SE. It would be a good deal if it were the iPhone 8.

Edit: The internal components of the SE were released by Apple in 2015.

Yep, it’ll be mid-2021 by the contract end, 6 year old hardware - like anyone’s going to tolerate that...

I couldn't agree more with tthe pair of you ...

But let's be honest, where as yes, the £900 paid is a bump!.

We tend to forget, it's an 'iDevice' people have been prepared to pay wayyyyyy MORE than that, for arguably wayyyyyy less? - where 'iDevices' are concerned anyway? (SOME/though not all, have been prepared to pay £1000+ straight!, for guess what?, you guessed it, an iOS PHONE!!, but yet when a sub-£200+ Android Phone comes up on here instead - with arguably better features, etc?, guess what rather happens? - well, let's just say plenty b!tching about it goes on, despite arguably paying 1 FIFTH of the price of an iPhone X, for essentially the exact same thing ... )

As for the whole Tablet thing too?.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Don't even get me started the whole iPad/Android Tablet price dynamics' and the wotnots too, etc ...

Hehehehehehehe.

Like it or lump it, there's perhaps a 'reason' as to why certain things are the way they are? (unfortunately?). :-(

As long as there's more than enough people, that are also more than prepared to pay maximum/premium price's through their noses for essentially the same thing than that of it's nearest Android competition equivalent, of arguably the exact same 'stuffs'- then let's just say, there's absolutely no incentive in the Market to waste it's time altering anything other than that now established 'norm' right? (simple as really).

Well I have it here and that’s what it says in batt health..Best phone I’ve had , gonna keep this as long as I can..too many suffer from upgradeitis.
Just checked my wife’s and her iPhone 6 battery is 88% , still not bad for a 4 year old phone.

How is it ‘about 97%’, surely it’ll just tell you exactly in the Battery Health (beta) bit. Anyway that figure is an estimate so if you’ve charged it 1400ish times then that percentage will bear a linear relationship with the charge cycles so it doesn’t sound right.

Maybe they don’t ‘rig for performance tests’, they’ll just underclock your CPU and not tell you... not like you can compare it directly to something else. Anyway I have an iPhone as welland I’m happy with it.
