Quality of items of MM is also creeping down - had a 11 Pro Max delivered today which was supposedly Pristine - the entire SS bezel badly marked and battery already down to 97% - last week I had the same with an XS MAX I've always had quality handsets in the past from them but not on the last couple of occasions unfortunately
Hmmmm I’m tempted
I’ve actually bought this:

£354.69 with the code. Grade B

Anyone used these before?
Quite tempting. Does anyone have experience of their Good grade handsets?

Not personally, but regarded well on here and it's easy to return and refund if not up to 'scratch'

Do you have any info on the seller I’ve bought from above?

I bought a B+ iPhone 11 from them a few weeks back. The phone itself was essentially as good as new, all the accessories were unused. The box had been opened. Brilliant.

Brilliant, thanks for the reply.

Looks like these are dropping by the minute, few others are selling for less than I paid making them sub £350 with discount. Hope they don’t drop too much lower lol

Had an 8 plus delivered on Monday but the screen was scratched beyond what i would call good so i sent it straight back and ordered another one. The second one has arrived today and as far as i can tell is unmarked, i have also had the refund for the first one paid back at 3pm today so overall no complaints here.

Yeah returned an xs yesterday rated "good" .. Was scratched excessively.. counted over 40 on the screen alone . Battery was 87% and it was barely a year old . And it took 4 days delivery .

cant be bothered re ordering waiting for money to be paid back , and trips to the post office.

Garbage and waste of time .

That unfortunately is my findings, it is the luck of the draw but the last 3 or 4 phones purchased from these guys have been marked and each have had some problem, I guess that is why a lot of people trade in to them rather than sell for more privately, because the phone has issues and there will be no comeback.

If you buy a pristine condition xs from here and stick a £10 sim in it it would cost £665 over 2 years .

You can get a new one on EE contract for a total of £711 over 2 years . .. Just over 50p a week more . For a years extra warranty , no marks , no hidden faults .

Prople think they are saving a fortune v contract but if you look around its not so .

unless you are happy with a scratched , used , less warranty , reduced battery life phone to save a few quid a month(or less)there is no point.

BTW a pristine (used) XS at MM is £549.99 ( before the £70 sale ) and £599.99 at appliances direct for brand new . So people are paying £400 for a scratched , used, less warranty , battery health lower, hidden problems .. When a new one is less than £200 difference . And £50 difference for a used pristine . .. Oh unless MM are inflating the price to then reduce it with a code?
This makes sense how?

You raise a valid point really. I’m on unlimited everything with Three sim only for £16pm. I’ve paid £354.69 for my used handset. Works out just over £30pm based on 2 years via a 3rd party outlet, I could get a 100GB data deal for £35pm on Three. The main problem is I’m stuck in contract and Three want silly money to go direct renewing my contract.

Yeah the only decent sim onlys are the non contract tbh . I pay £7.35 to Plusnet but only have 4 gig data , which is ample to be fair .
Makes jumping around a lot easier , but you get less for your money.
Can't understand people buying scratched , worn , battery worn, less warranty and less trade in value at the end ( compared to the new one you would have) ....to save a quid a week .
I saw the 3 100g deal £36( but 3 is a bit poor here ).but EE doing 45g same price.. More than I need but that's the offer.

and by my experience Music Magpie are sending out any old tat graded as "good" presumably so you will reorder at "Very Good" or "pristine"for more money .
Most people voting these hot can not possibly have received a phone from MM .
The XS is not £1000 anymore it's widely available at £600 or so , so why pay over £500 for one in decent condition .

I haven’t gone with this music magpie deal, I’ve gone with the Grade B from a different company for £354.69, it says it should come fully boxed with all accessories. I’m tied in till August with my deal and now thinking if I should call three and see what they can offer on a early upgrade.

Think you missed a point there. Many people here don’t use a phone for more than 6 months. Getting a phone on contract means you’re stucked with that phone for however long the contract is for.

So what do you do with it after 6 months?.

Assuming I had of accepted the scratched xs I received which was "poor" not the "good" as advertised .
Kept it 6 months then sent it back to Music Magpie , who would offer me £200 ( on a good day ) probably less as a "poor" phone . That means I have lost £180 or so on a phone in 6 months .
£30 a month loss every month .

That makes sense in who's world?

Let us know the condition when it arrives .

the only prob I can see is you pay for the returns .. So if it's not good .. You will be the postage out of pocket

I think this will depend on the way you request the return generally. If the phone isn’t as described then I’m in my right to request a label.

suppose if they dispute you saying its poor and they say it's good .
Hopefully it's all good .

they have a couple of £325 ones but both damaged and one with dented casing ? For £350 ish .. The rest all about £400 .

They had Grade C for £20-30 more than these grade B’s hopefully it’s not a mistake
This is a great price! And as an Apple user myself I just want to say, anyone who claims ‘Apple iPhones hold their value’ - I will just send them to any recent deal like this! Basically a third the original RRP. I’d imagine with the recent pandemic you may have all heard about, smartphone demand will drop further and people will keep existing devices longer too.

I’ve bought 2 iPhones from cheapest_electrical last year. One was grade B+ and the other A.
The grade A was immaculate as expected and the Apple warranty started the day I logged into with my Apple ID.
The grade B+ looked immaculate as well but the warranty had already started and had 9 months left.
Both came with all accessories & original boxes

Yeah .. Generally fair better than android though.

think the new S20 will shake things up .. It's spec is awesome .. The S20 ultra looks a fantastic bit of kit .
Hope Apple respond with similar , because the last few releases have been pretty rubbish to be honest .. The notch looks dated and out of place , apart from IOS and a decent chip Apple is way way behind.
iOS is the clincher for me .

Used to. But not now. I bet iPhone XS users with a 1yo phone are thrilled that their £1100 handset is now £369 at MM - Apple have been taking the mick with pricing. iPhone 8 was the last one that really held up well for depreciation imo.

Yeah put like that it's sounds about right . Apples pricing is miles off the mark considering how far they are lagging behind . The next iPhone needs to be something a bit special .
Looking around for a phone has opened my eyes to how many faulty iPhone X there are .. Hundreds and hundreds with face ID not working .

Yes exactly, lots for sale at the moment with this problem - I had an X and the touchscreen failed under the repair program. Without Face ID, it’s a pretty poor phone and cumbersome to use. I’ve bought each iPhone generation apart from the 11 Pro Max, literally nothing good in it and no 5G either. The biggest problem with Apple is that the make it ‘acceptable’ for other brands to charge ridiculous prices too. Glad we are seeing some flagships in the £400-500 range now to shake this stupidity out.
