have two with ipod touch's - mine works well

Mine has been good for 12 months +

Would this connect to an Ipad if it was supported at the back?

I'm pleased with mine - bought one a few months back. Works a treat with my iPod (classic), great sound for the price too - nice to be able to adjust the bass and treble and like the fact it comes with a remote.

Can you use this with iphone 3gs? Thanks

Can u use it with the new iPod touch 4th gen???

Daughter has the pink one (obviously) with her Ipod touch 3G and she loves it, I was surprised by the sound quality for only £17.99 yes the pink one cost more.

Bought one of these for my son for christmas & it works fine with his ipod touch 4G, the handy remote is a bonus, sound quality is excellent too, really pleased with it for the price, id recommend this definately

Thanks, I've just ordered the pink one for myself : play.com/Ele…033

My brother bought the black one about 8 months ago for £12.99 at the time and it is still working great today! It does play the iPhone's but you need to put it onto airplane mode first otherwise you can hear a lot of noise interference from the signal.

The quality is great for such a cheap device and we used it for BBQ's last year. My brother has taken his to uni with him now so I've been looking to get one for myself to use with my iPod Nano 5Gen and my iPhone 3GS and just spotted that the pink one is the same price!

Does anyone know if this will work with a cover fitted (Incipio clip on back cover), I bought an apple dock but can only use it if I remove the cover so it's useless to me.

Has been as low as £12.99 in the past. I got it but it gives off noise like computer speakers do when a phone near them has a call come in. There was not a phone near it. I recently got this one for £14.99 and think it is better all round. No remote though.

You could connect it via the aux input on the back but you'd be using it as a pair of speakers basically, you wouldn't be able to control it from the dock.

I wouldn't have thought so... does any dock work with a cover on the iPod? It would have to be a pretty thin cover seeing as docks are created to hold the iPod in place

I've never had that problem. I've had it make the noise briefly when I've had my phone right near it every now and then but that's to be expected

I was at a friends last night, he has the Logic 3 Valve80, my iPhone dropped straight into the dock with the back cover on, but sack paying £250+ for a dock.

perfect for the bedside

Only if you can sleep though the hissing noise even when its powered off

Had 2 wont work with 4th gen Touch

^ ok that's a deal killer for me

Best to remove 'Apple' from the title as there is such a thing called an 'Apple iPod Docking Station' which is manufactured by Apple and this is not it.

i got the kitsound boomDock for xmas and is fantastic. The sound quality is exceptional and the bass is really meaty. Is £82.99 on amazon at the moment. This seems ok for the price but i cant see it being that great for £14.99

No, it won't work with an ipad (tried it before)

Yes

I bought this budget dock roughly a month ago and obviously for the price i wasn't expecting much. At first I didn't like it but after a while it grew on me and is definantly worth the money.

However, there are are a couple of problems I have encountered:
- There is no volume adjust for the alarm. It goes off at 'volume 09' which is pretty loud.
- The snooze on the remote doesn't work and just turns off the alarm. The snooze button on the actual dock does work. maybe this is a compatibility issue with ipods? i dunno, but its annoying.
- no time format change option

apart from that its a great dock for the price. decent sound quality, easy to use, remote, sleep function etc

Not good with Iphones. I have one for the purpose of charging a 3gs and you get constant interference unless you switch it to Airplane mode

Got this for Missus last time its up. She is now fed up with it, the display is far to bright, and lowest setting is off!
Volume is to high, even when turned down to its quietest, no good for listening to when your going to sleep, according to her.
If you can live with these problems, and the slight hiss you get everynow and then, its not a bad dock...

is it dab?

I could be wrong, but I seem to read many comments regarding noise interference on various docks with iphones etc and have heard that you need to switch your device to airplane mode and this will get rid of the noise.

Bit of a hassle every time you dock it I know, but if you`ve invested in a dock already I guess I would be trying it.

Just sent mine back.....rubbish.Leave well alone.

No, it states FM (i.e. analogue)

yes hun works with 4th & 5th gen :-)

... or the loud, morse code style "dit, di-di-dit dit, dit dit" noise if you leave a mobile phone to close to it.

Or the ridiculously bright screen for the clock, even on the dimmest setting.

would it work with an ipod shuffle-does anyone know????

u must have a faulty one as me and my partner have one of these either side our bed and no noise from any of them

I have just received my pink one and it is great (£14.99 for this one too!)

I struggled to get my 4th Gen Ipod touch to work at first but I had to remove the dock insert completely for it to fit and connect.

To answer some of the other comments...
- I do not have any problems with hissing at all and I am awful with any type of noise whilst trying to sleep.

- There are 3 display brightnesses available. OFF / BRIGHT / VERY BRIGHT. I cannot sleep even with the lower display setting so I have it set to off, this is easy enough to flick back on with the remote in the middle of the night if you want to know the time.

- the volume seemed ok when waking to my Ipod. I set the volume on the Ipod itself.

- the snooze function via the remote does not work, it does switch it off. Still...it will encourage me to drag my lazy back side out of bed!!! :-)

I hope this help some people make a decision. It is a good buy, good sound and has the added feature of a remote.
