All Apple refurbs are brand new (well, they look it, and you get a 1 year warranty with them :p.)

Refurbished is exactly what it says, it ain't new no matter how new it 'looks' as you say. So anyone gonna post a cheaper NEW deal?

Nope, personal choice. But then don't compare a cheaper refurb with a brand new 'untouched' model

DDTA and WK can I suggest that you maybe try to avoid each other for a while. I seem to be finding a few threads where you two are playing tennis with your responses.

You are both excellent deals posters and a credit to HUKD and I really don't like to see this silly banter.

In fairness, even if refurbs are as good as stated, they're not new. I believe they're not in proper retail packaging, so I doubt I could buy it as a gift for someone.

Fair enough. Will do.

The point is, the very nature of a refurb is that it's either been owned before and restored to as 'good as new', and even if not, it's been 'handled' and made to be good as new - new is exactly what it says on the tin. Comparing 1 with the other is a pretty lame reason to vote a deal down.

Looks hot to me , and your right op new means new , refurb doesnt mean new so people shouldnt compare and we are yet to see any cold voter show where to get a NEW one cheaper

I would buy a Sandisk 8gb Sansa Fuze + 8gb or even 16gb Micro sd card myself a lot cheaper as just as good quality. As for the shuffle it doesn't stand a chance against the Sansa Clip cheaper and has a FM radio and a Screen. If you have not heard of them check them out. Plus dont need stupid itunes to transfer files.

On this site, you are asked to tell the OP why you voted cold, and thats my reason.

meh

sparring aside... does anyone have a reason why this has been expired, because it is showing as in stock on the website??

Where does it say its a refurb?
