What do these reductions have to do with the Apple TV+ launch? Apple do movie sales all the time, not to mention most of these deals have been posted already.

They do it because no one buys from them
Given they only play on later Apple TV devices, and on none of their Mac line which can do 4k, it’s a finite audience at the moment unfortunately.

They play on amazon fire sticks too but no one has them I guess.
It's still a self-limiting audience taking into account the TV and Fire sticks too. Widen it to the Mac's and even PC's that produce 4k output, then that's a whole expanse of potential customers for 4k itunes content.

Or 4K Samsung/LG TV’s, 4K Roku devices, 4K Fire TV devices...
Most of these have already recently been posted so not sure what the deal is here.

Do they not play in 4K on a 4K Mac/PC? (I only have a HD laptop so didn’t know this was a thing)

Roku has been added to that list, swell as been available on certain TV's.
Theirs not much of a saving on 'First Man'. You might want to change that 'redcastle'.

First Man £499 (4K Dolby vision)

I was debating a 4k Fire stick when Black Friday/Cyber Monday occurs. May be a reasonable cost way to display the 4k stuff I do have.

This is because Apple knows people have fickle memory and clicking 'buy' in an app is the ultimate tool from them to get the lazy buyer to splash some cash

Don't know a lot about Roku, as never really utilised the stuff I've tried like the original Google Chromecast and Amazon Fire fully. Is one any better than the other overall?

The only app not available on Roku is DisneyLife - it has YouTube/Google Play Movies/Now TV, which the Firestick doesn’t and it is a much cleaner interface. Much nicer to use IMO.

Is that the Streaming Stick+ or the Premiere?

Is that the Streaming Stick+ or the Premiere?

Both, the difference between them is the streaming stick+ has a Bluetooth remote (so the stick is hidden at the back of your tv) with volume up and down and a TV power button and the Premier doesn’t and needs line of sight to the remote. Both support 4K HDR.

This post is saying there is a sale in the store

Unless you liked that particular film, and clicked the HUKD, you wouldn’t know there is a sale on. It’s the same as putting the eBay 10% off code up as a master thread. And then people put up a listing for individual items with the 10% off code applied.

It’s not. The movies are listed and the post says there is a list in in the title. This is just a repost. There is a movie sale each week on iTunes.

Which is stupid as this is the third time they are posted as a list (not counting individually) and quite frankly ridiculous. Some you have listed are even from earlier. Why would something need to be posted three times ?

Agree. It’s the same when people put the code for eBay up and then each item has the code and u get 100s of items show.
I’m only listing it to highlight the store. Not too fussed about heat and stuff. I tend to not list anymore because it just turns into a farce and chit chats about people’s opinions on an item not whether a deal is a deal compared to the next best price

If you’d have used the search facility on the site you probably wouldn’t have had to listen to this turn into a farce. If there’s one thing that grates on a HUKD member, it’s a lazy duplicate post.

Wasn’t lazy. Took the time to hand type all the stuff in. And capture the photo list and fill out the stuff.

I did use the search function. Saw people listing individual films. But then no one listing the actual store. So I did the store. It’s like no one listing the eBay promo code but finding lots of individual items.

Either way, don’t reallly care - too many people on here criticise and just want to benefit from the deals - if members didn’t post stuff, we wouldn’t have anything on here except the stuff being pushed for advertising and promo by the mods (which I have NO problem with as they make revenue to run the site in the first place. ).

If the mods had taken it down, then fine. They left it up. So it’s valid. Don’t really care and if it helps other members then great! If you don’t want a film ...scroll on

To be fair they did remove it you argued for it to be put back up. Really though it’s the mods fault for falling for it and allowing it and I am not going to go on at you about it. It’s their fault for not removing something that shouldn’t have been here and coming up with an excuse to justify it which was untrue. Now I know they will make up any old rubbish and have no consistency so not going to bother myself about posts.

The conversation in this post has went off the deep end. Not much point in anyone getting angry at it, or cause of certain movies listed may have already been posted etc. I suppose you could look at a new post listing some iTunes movies as a kind of forum 'bump'. Plus some folk may have missed seeing the deals when they may have got posted at an earlier time.

This just reminds me of the people that make lists of PSN sales and end up arguing with each other cause another person made a list too. Almost like it's only them exclusively that are allowed to make the list or post PSN deals separately.

Leave it to the mods if they think it's spamming the website etc. It's not doing much harm if the same deal may have been posted a day or two ago. A lot of people who casually browse the website just don't use the search button the majority of the times. It shouldn't be all about the heat etc, but about helping people see the deal and potentially saving them some money.

Long story short, don't sweat the small stuff. Deals posted are still made with good intentions at the end of the day.

Thing is that is the case according to the rules. Otherwise the same deals are posted again and again and again every hour, day and week and the site becomes even more cluttered and harder to find genuine fresh deals. There is always going to be somebody who hasn’t seen a deal. All they need to do is look. The site can’t repost everything for them. Reposts get removed if posted within 28 days. If somebody does a list then somebody can post those items individually. But if somebody is posting the exact same deal that has already been posted those get removed (well most of the time depending on the mood of the mod that day and if they can follow their own rules). That’s the problem really consistency. The second time these were posted was fine because the first I did and I didn’t put that there was a list in the title. The second did. This third time though is just a straight up repost and according to the site rules it should be removed. Not the posters fault but rather the mods for falling for the, wrong, explanation that is a new sale post and using the excuse that the other post was just for one movie, it wasn’t. Nobody is angry though. It is what it is and we can move on and know mods can’t be relied on. There is no rules just how somebody feels that day

The person looking might not know what movies are on sale or what specific movies to search for, plus let's be honest some people sometimes ain't bright enough to just search iTunes or use the search feature all together. Duplicate posts sometimes both be a good thing and a bad thing and also just be a mistake too. I would agree if the same deal may have been only posted minutes before or an hour, but a few days ago isn't exactly going to clutter a huge website which new deals for all sorts are constantly being posted.

All in all, it's not doing anyone harm if it may be 1 deal someone may have posted not too long ago etc, but if it's multiple deals posted right after each other then that's fair to remove them. We can only leave it down to the mods to do what they seem fit at the end of the day though eh?

I just think people can get a bit too annoyed at the most stupid or little thing on here at times. If anything we just need people to search more, what people just don't seem to do half the time. Even I'm guilty for it at times, but 99% of the time I'll usually check first before posting anything.

But you know yourself mate that there's no malice in duplicate posts etc, as they're only posted with good intentions at the end of the day. The whole website is one huge group effort if you really think about it, haha. But as I said, can only leave it down to the mods, and if he's contacted a mod and they've said it's okay for the post to remain, what can we do eh?

There is a reason the rule is 28 days though. If this repost is allowed then imagine 1000 and more ? Why this one and not every other persons that does get removed ? The consistency is the problem and this is what happens when they make it up as they go along. Like I say I was given an excuse the other post was for one movie. That was wrong it wasn’t it clearly says it has a list in the title. When I pointed out they were wrong it then got crickets and no response. People expect reposts to be removed within 28 days as those are the rules for good reason. Should I post this again every few days for those people who won’t see it ? Let’s be honest it would be somebody in the correct mood that day and it would be correctly removed as it should.
