Is it the lightning ones?
I heard these have a lot of lag (unlike the old non-Lightning ones, which had no lag). Anyone tried this adapter with gaming on TV?

aIve heard this too, Apparently whatever is on your screen is compressed into a video and then sent through the HDMI unlike the old 30Pin AV adapters. So I Heard... But anyway its the only adapter available without using another airplay or similar device. I thought a £5+ saving is better than nothing.
Thanks, yes the saving is good and I already heated for it But the worries of lag are enough to put me off buying until Apple sort it out with a new version adapter.

Shocking that they brought out something "that doesn't just work".... given their high prices and all their PR BS...

I totally agree. Thats the main reason i dont want to get rid of my ipad 3 and 30pin av adapter. Come on Apple! Maybe a possible bios/firmware upgrade for the adapter?

Yep - my local tesco had this for £26 recently, saw it when I grabbed a 30 pin adapter.

I think it will require a revised adapter with much more powerful CPU inside it. It's not the new iPad/iPhones causing the lag and quality drop. It's the conversion process to the upscaled 1080p "video" signal I suspect.
