Just been into Tesco and they are selling these off for £1 , always handy to have spare ones.

iPhone compatible lightning cable - it's not an Apple cable.

Is it nationwide???
They are in all the stores that have the £1 section.

I've purchased one and it works fine.
They are the exact same cables you get in pound land though.

Hope this helps.
So not an apple cable then
Is it an apple product as stated or just a cheapo copy? in which case if you break any Apple device by using it there goes your apple warranty? all the pound shops sell the cheap ones anyway
Just a cheapo non-MFi cable. Only buy Made For iDevice (MFI) cables, too much risk to your device otherwise.
These same cables used to be £8 in Tesco. I got a couple at the £1 price last week from the North Shields store.

I think they reduced them because they stopped working with later IOS versions.

I can only get them to work if i use it with an official apple plug, any other plug causes the accessory incompatible message on the device
I'm using one now iPhone 6 latest IOS (using genuine Apple plug/adapter and it charges fine, one thing I would point out is that it won't plug in with the case I have on my phone.
Misleading title stating its an Apple cable, like others have said its in the pound store and it's a pound for a reason, most of the time they don't work!

Apple won't know what kind of cable broke the phone so I think you'll be fine. Iv used cheap cable and phones always been replaced no questions asked

So back up the vote with a reason!
Bought one last week from the pound section in Tesco, plugged it in a few days later and It kept repeatedly working then not working, after a minute or two of my phone beeping every time it kicks in I just binned it. Cold vote from me sorry.
Been using one of these for a month on my iPod 5. It's been working fine with charters from android phones and in the car USB port.
also in one stop
I guess these will stop working on the next IOS upgrade?
