The cheapest I've seen this is £21.99 on Tesco Direct for this apple adapter. Yes it's overpriced in general but this is the cheapest of a overpriced genuine Apple product! Guys you can buy the cheap ones but them don't support audio output so they'll only charge on a docking station, this one gives you output.

This is an apple product for anyone that has a docking station with the old 30 pin ports. I have bought one for my car bluetooth kit as it is a audio out device as I have purchased the new ipod touch for the car.

Lightning to 30-pin Adapter connects new Apple devices to peripherals and docks with the 30-pin connector. The Apple 30-pin Adapter supports analogue audio output, USB audio, as well as syncing and charging. Hook up your iPhone 5, iPod or iPad mini to docks and other 30-pin accessories which were made for older Apple devices like the iPhone 4.

Do they support audio out?
After all these lighting/USB-C connectors that go in either way they are now developing a phone that has the socket at either end for really stupid people.
£1 if you look elsewhere.
The pound ones are crap I've got a iPod dock on my stereo and it wont work using a pound one

The £1 ones do not support the digital audio throughput. These ones are the real thing ie. a charger and audio adaptor. So a great deal at £15. Thanks OP, anyone with an Apple lightning sockets will appreciate this. Others sadly will not be able to benefit.
£10 sainsburys but the longer wired one

No mate was in store yesterday, had the 30-lightning £10 , lightning to VGA £10 and lightning to HDMI £18. They were under the iPad mini stand in the Sheffield s6 branch.

Interesting - I've got a Pioneer 3500 in mine and the official, monumentally overpriced pioneer 30pin lead, the adaptor from poundworld allowed music playback from my phone no worries, charging worked well and bluetooth unaffected. with the latest update b0rking a few leads of friends, I'll see if there's any issues when I plug it back in after xmas.
cheaper in cex, i got the apple adapter thats a cable with lightning on one end and 30 pin on the other and came in brand new sealed box.
Good price for a genuine apple product
Cheers op, reserved
again another product getting cold votes by people who know nothing about the product they are voting on

this is and adapter with a built in DAC hence the price
one pound crap is only good for charging if you are lucky

Genuine Apple - heat added

If these pound stores did the genuine adapter at £1, then you guys claiming this is cold have a point.
The adaptor in the pound stores is nothing more than a copy which may or may not work, its not the same item so the price comparison you make doesn't count - not the same product!
