Nice deal for for mac. Ram is easy and a cheap (and worth while upgrade) on the mini.
The bluetooth wireless keyboard is also £46 delivered at the Apple today.
If you arent bothered the keyboards are usually snapped up second hand at great prices ;-)
fantastic price, heat added

This doesn't come with a keyboard or mouse.

Yep. I bought the 2012 model on amazon for £475 and maxed out the ram at 16gb for another £60 and it really is a great little machine. Very quick. I use it for graphic design but also for general use.
would be a great deal if it existed. No stock anywhere
heat added.
ive just reserveed 1 to pick up tomorrow but will price go up when i collect it?

be advised, it is still not yours, their stock check isn't live, a few times i've reserved it, only to be told it wasn't in stock that day
You only have 10 minutes, but the mouse and keyboards are cheap on the Apple Black Friday sale.

Not sure what xbmc is but I've got Plex running on mine as well as an Elgato TV tuner and it's great. I don't purely have it for that, I also use it for graphics.

Does it run Adobe CS well? Interested how it works well for design. What specs/cost did you get to?

I've got the 2.5Ghz 2012 model with 16gb ram (Kingston ram from amazon for £62). I regularly run photoshop, illustrator and indesign as well as parallels, when having to test website compatibility on a pc! I never have to close apps down and the speed has really impressed me. Feels a lot quicker than my 2010 2.4Ghz MacBook Pro.

Hope that helps?
Nice! Affordable Apple
Is this the latest one?
Oh it's back up to 429

It was available at currys for £450 last night but it appears to have gone back up to £500. Next cheapest is Amazon at £467 which is still a great deal.
How do you buy upgrade ram for it? Also Amazon?

Currys stock check is live.

It may well be live, but you have to rely on someone in-store to actually 'reserve' the item, or it remains on the shelves and can be purchased by others. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt and the apology email from Currys saying yeah, our reserve & collect is absolutely useless and not guaranteed.

Very easy: support.apple.com/kb/…432

I purchased Kingston Ram at £32 each: amazon.co.uk/gp/…i00

But others are available by Corsair and Crucial to name a few. You need 2 x 8GB DDR3 SODIMM 1600Mhz if you are wanting the full 16GB of ram that it will allow and to be honest for the price of ram nowadays it's definitely worth maxing it.
went to collect mine on sat. all set up very happy with it. thanks greencode for link to. will be doing this.

No worries at all. Did you get the 2.3Ghz 2011 model or the 2012 model? The only reason I ask is that this will affect the ram that you get. See here:

2011: support.apple.com/kb/…805
2012: support.apple.com/kb/…475

It's a bit strange though as Apple state 8gb in total for the 2011 model but if you hunt around the web there's a number of people that have 16gb in theirs?! Might be worth asking on the Apple Discussions site

Check out this on the Kingston's site. It'll give you an idea of what ram you'll need for your iMac. When you've found out what the spec is you can then hunt around on Amazon or wherever you choose to buy it.
Thank you
