First off open the mac up and then to find the screen look above the keyboard.
Comes off the total amount - I bought last week. Had a message to say it will be deducted by 30th Nov
Ah. I just spotted this in the terms so i guess it depends when you order. Edit, i found the terms on an Ipad, so £50 discount there.
So looks like a good deal, are Very a bad company to deal with?

It’s £100 credit not £50 .
But if you are an Apple fan , you will have a iPhone and iPad and everything can be linked also you have iCloud to store all pictures and Videos. It’s all about build quality and how smooth Apple products work that sells it for me . Oh and they hold there value.
They had it for £738.10 with £100 back on Sunday for a few hours (whether we see delivery or not remains to be seen)
Yes I missed out on that , but show me a deal that’s gets near this after cash back ?
Thought that was the desktop Mac ?
It was all the 'New' laptops and desktops
i'm dubious they will arrive as the date for delivery is 9th Nov which is odd as they say they are in stock..although I guess they come direct from a supplier...if not Apple themselves.
This seems to be the best deal today.
Apple have never cared enough about the Air line to give it a screen to be proud of.
I'd go with the Macbook 12" if you're after a smaller footprint.
??
I tried the butterfly keyboard in john lewis,
its amazing that apple thought that was an improvement
I don’t know?
I’ve had all my macs from Very with the cash back deals and think that with such a high quality item I wouldn’t worry about anything wrong in the first 3 years
As I said find this MacBook cheaper from any UK seller for Brand New ? You can’t which makes this deal hot . If you don’t like Apple scroll in by .
£779 after cash back cheapest in the UK .
Doesnt icloud only store 5GB for photos and videos? I have noticed that to run out too quickly for any use and instead of paying icloud for subscription, it is better to pay initially for more space on your laptop? or even a portable hard drive
If something goes wrong with in the first 12 months you walk straight in to a Apple store and they will sort . You must not of dealt with Apple before . No matter where you buy there products . If something goes wrong in the warranty period you take it back to there store .
Not like Samsung or other brands where your products get sent away for weeks .
Apple does hold its value pretty well, but this model is already old when you buy it, old screen, old processor. TBH since the build quality is so good you would be as well buying a used 2015 model.
First off open the mac up and then to find the screen look above the keyboard.
But this is the 2017 model and it has a few upgrades from 2015 , yes not many !
But in 3 years when your ready to upgrade you will get £400 to £450 back if it’s kept clean and looked after where an £500 Acer , Dell , HP are worthless after 3 years and in some cases ready for the scrap heap .
Thanks cool bro, don't know what I would do without you
The upgrades it has had are worthless. 1.6Ghz to 1.8GHZ, that's totally worth it.
But as I said it holds its value , I just sold my iPhone 6 Plus 2 years 3 months old for £300 , I bought it for £650 brand new . That will go off this MacBook. People purchasing this are not gamers or don’t want it for endless FHD movie watching .
It is what is it , and it’s not fooling no one .
I buy my cars the same way ! No fords or Vauxhall’s!!!!! Always buy a 6 month old VW .
My point is this is already 2 years old. So in 2 years when you want to sell it you are selling a 4 year old laptop.
So, if you switch in 3 years, you dont really lose any money (coz the laptop was £500 cheaper anyway), and if you switch in 5 years (which is the actual life of the £500 laptop) you loose money with a macbook?
I own a macbook myself, but trying to justify its price is a lost cause
Macbooks can't be beat for their simplicity and the fact that they just work so easily, less risk with security, etc. But This is 5 year old tech now. They should either drop the price and aim it at more budget oriented consumers or just drop it completely and try to get people to accept the 'macbook' as its replacement
Thanks, don't you think £779 is a good price to currently buy, otherwise which other laptop would you recommend at this price point?
real shame this should of been upgraded by now... i'd avoid and get a pro
