Is this the same model that is stocked at Apple?
This is not the Air, rather just “MacBook” and it is discontinued by Apple, hence the prices
Gutted. Thought it was a bargain.
Same laptop is available from ebuyer's ebay store for £765.72 at the moment using the code PLENTIFUL.

Still is a good deal. Standard Macbooks are better than the Air aren't they?

Oh right thanks
Awful laptop in my experience! Very weak and slow. The new Macbook Air is a much better option for value for money.

I’ve not heard great things about this MacBook and the Air has Touch ID which is a small but useful feature.
Is this your buy it now price? Or do I have to bid?

No. MacBook Pro > MacBook Air > MacBook.

This only has one USB-C port, so you need a hub if you want to charge it and use another USB device at the same time. It would be ok as a lightweight websurfing/office work notebook if not for the unreliable keyboard.

I used to own one and concur. Amazing lightweight design, and it's perfect for what it's designed to do. However, the single USB-C port makes it unsuitable for power users, and the keyboard means it won't last longer than a few years before needing a replacement from Apple (think it's a free replacement though).
Cold.

You can buy a brand new current gen Macbook Air for £899 in ebay.

With 256GB storage? That would surprise me given how much Apple wants for each increment in SSD capacity.
I'm after a MacBook Air (128gb) but don`t need it till Xmas.

Any crystal ball gazers able to advise as to what my biting point should be?
Now even cheaper

Great offer op.
I personally went for the Macbook air 2019 edition need a urgent upgrade ran my dell 1545 since 2009. That thing was lagging like hell.
It’s not worth it. You’d rather save up £400 more. Then use the education pricing to get a MacBook Pro 2019 worth £1300 and a free set of £300 beats for £1150.
