I know there has been a few up and down macbook offers of late. Especially with the Air floating around, This macbook is £689 with the marchsaleday code at Rakuten.co.uk via Pixel Electronics. I really wanted a CD drive so have gone for this. I'll add the bumf in the comments.

Yes I think this is the last model without the Retina display hence it being so much 'cheaper' as like the Air they are clearing stock. I was torn between waiting until July for the student event at Apple directly with a newer model, but at this price I thought I'd just get it now.

My eyes are shoddy anyway so wasn't too fussed about the display, but wanted the CD drive and a 'cheap' Mac for uni haha.

Just some feedback, Macbook arrived on the 1st. All brilliant! US power with a UK adaptor cellotaped to the box. Very happy with it!

Yes it was all wrapped as new, macbook sealed in it's box, bubble wrapped and them a basic US adaptor taped to the side of the bubble wrap in another plain brown box.

Mine was delivered by Fedex
