Don't think I've ever added a deal so please go easy!

£1149 on Very.co.uk but £999 after £150 cashback

Just got an email informing me that 2017 Macbooks (Airs and Pros) are on offer AND that if you take it out via BNPL 12 months you'll get credit of £150 back by end of Nov 2017. Use code M9ALM during the checkout process. Read the T&Cs as usual!

All Macbooks link: very.co.uk/ele…end

The Apple site has these currently at £1249 and I can see there are a few other sites such as John Lewis with it at £1149 but if you are willing to take out the credit and get the cashback it is possible to get it cheaper.

Bear in mind these will be getting ~40% faster with the new quad core …Bear in mind these will be getting ~40% faster with the new quad core processors during the next refresh cycle. It's not a great time to buy any 7th gen product unless they're heavily reduced.

Yeh, wait till June 2018 when the refresh is due, then the Oct core are due on the following refresh, may as well wait till 2040 when the million core processor is due.

If your looking just buy for now at the price, rather than always waiting for the what next scenario.

Yeah, where did you see that? 10% of at Argos would make for some serious Mac deals.

Agree. I’m holding back for this reason. Kaby R seems a notable gain, as opposed to the usual circa 10%. Not sure how long before they’re readily available though. Dell has the XPS with 8th gen available to order on the website shipping now, but no mainstream ones that I’ve seen. Can’t be long.

I dont expect macbooks books to be refreshed until well into next year though. They usually lag behind the windows for release schedules.

I am hoping that Black Friday sees some nice laptop deals as manufacturers clear 7th gen stuff out before putting their 8th gen stuff out to hit the Christmas period?

Just a thought.

What makes you think it will be June next year? Apple don't have a yearly update cycle with the Macbook Pro. The last two models were November last year then June this year. Your hyperbole is also dangerously misleading to people who don't follow the industry. These low power processors have been dual core for many years now - quad core is a huge leap in comparison to any update since the turn of the decade. Octo core processors won't be in high power laptops until a year from now and probably at least five years away from being in low power ones. We're at the tipping point and your advice is "nah".

I have one if these from work.

I also had/ still have a 2013 macbook pro from work.

The 2013 one is a better machine IMO (minus the screen). 2013 has better connectivity (hdmi and usb), better keyboard, and a better logo.

Point being if you can get a similar spec 2013-2016 macbook then you arent really missing out on anything.

Wow £1k for an i5, Apple really know how to fleece their customers!

128gb ssd. How big is the second hard drive?

Wow this sucks

There is 10% discount code HELLOYOU. with 12 BNPL it brings down to £888

if buying a macbook I'd pay a bit more money to get 256GB version minimum. storage runs out fast. upgrading later on can be very expensive

They finally made 3rd party SSDs for the new MBPs. Apple makes it hard, but you can now get a 3rd party replacement at a reasonable price. Still I'd probably get 256GB straight away - it's not too easy to replace the SSD nowadays.

Pretty good MacBook for the officials.

Why buy this when you can buy an iPhone X for the exact same price?

Been used on every thread

pretty good price cheaper than nus-extra discount price £1,124.40

If you know anyone who works for Tesco (bless them) they are all getting 20% off from tomorrow (Friday) for a week. So maybe that will bring the price down even more for anyone wishing to buy one.

voted hot.
Very.co.uk => comeon baby.. let's do the deal for 15" i7 version too

Is it possible to stack codes or will it affect the cash back

They were talking on the radio about young people being in debt. I say apple is in the top 10.

Might just be worth waiting if you're not desperate though. Apple are inconsistent when it comes to refreshing their hardware, sometimes they do multiple refreshes in one year and then only a single refresh in the next. It's still possible that they could announce a new refresh in Nov. Depending on what you intend to use it for, two extra cores and four extra threads can go a long way.

@xchaotic where are the 3rd party SSD’s please?

Not dissing this but a laptop with 128GB storage is abit pathetic...yes I know you can add extra storage with an external drive but who wants to lug an extra drive with them I sure don't... They should make this at least 256GB in my view.. And I own both windows and a mac got my Mac 27" for £1300 so I'm definitely not no Windows or a Mac fanboy

They want you to use icloud so they can charge you again for it.

Must disagree, the keyboard on the new pro is much better, a great improvement.
