Applecare is £120 whilst you're at it...

Cant understand why you would pay this much for an outdated laptop ?

Mid-range processor, everything else is way below average. Onboard graphics, 320GB HD, 4gb RAM and a 13inch screen on REFURB at this price range? Crazy.

Despite that, it's hard to get one of these cheaper. The pivoting factor here is whether the Currys refurbs are any good or not.

The hoary subject of price vs spec has been done to death. For some people like myself, who develop on Mac, there is no alternative to buying an Apple machine, so it all comes down to getting the best deal for the money.

This is very cheap, and it's tempting - since it's a recent machine, but I'm not sure I can trust that much cash to Currys right now. For that money, or a little bit more, I'd prefer to get a refurb straight from Apple. However, this deal is bound to suit someone else (i.e. someone with a bit more cash than me right now) very well indeed.

I'll call hot on it. Thanks for posting, OP.

I agree, I think it's hot and I've been looking for a new macbook pro, this is the right price just not the right time

Decent price, though it's the February 2011 spec machine.

Electronic King on Ebay were selling new US spec October 11 revision Macbook pro's for £849 recently. I'd rather go with that personally.

"Very good price with all latest features".

Apart from the Operating System to name but one!!!!!!

Just follow the advise in hotukdeals.com/mis…086 to get Apple Warranty and upgrade to Lion for free

Just ordered from PC World. Same price, but they are doing 7.5% cashback through quidco (says it applies to Apple products, so hope it includes refurbs).
