Says in the ts&cs this cash back offer is only available on interest bearing terms over 104 or 156 weeks.

With a minimum of 2 years on interest, you might be lucky to even get this at cost price.

I can see this going cold purely as it is Littlewoods but I would like to add I have used a similar promotion and cashback was paid as promised in the time they say.

You pay for it in the 12 months period and it is interest free, gobby.

@Gobby88... it also states - You can avoid any interest by contacting us and paying the cash price in full before the end of the deferred payment period.

It comes off any balance you have, so it can be used directly against the purchase...speaking from experience of this promotion.

New one coming out Sept 10th so now is a bad time to buy.

I never understand this, it will still be a macbook pro with really good spec, you could go your whole life waiting for the latest version

May be annouced at the event but MacRumours suggest the release date will be October...Still a very bad time to buy a MacBook Pro / Pro with retina.

I wouldn't say a dual core laptop running that resolution was ideal personally, if this was the quad core model id have gone for it.

True, however if you wait a month or two there WILL be a new version so common sense would tell you to not spend £1000+ on a soon to be old model.

Sept 10th event has been rumoured to be an iPhone event, and I don't think Apple have ever released new MacBooks at the same time as an iPhone? Either way new MacBook Retinas are due before the end of the year.

The irony, yes I do.

I'm a web developer and doing any serious web development on windows is a pain. I am also acutely aware that a MacBook Pro is no faster than a similarly priced Windows alternative. The only thing mac's have got over Windows is the ability to stay in 'sleep' for much much longer and a much much better trackpad.

Please explain how a mac is faster?

A mac has an SSD and UEFI, most windows laptops don't, however if you compare it to one that does then you will see that they both startup in pretty much the same time.

Integrated gpu with a retina screen? What's the point?

Thats the biggest downside of this model!
Ive got 15 inch model had a IR trouble with LG retina its been replaced with a samsung Screen no IR but must admit LG is a better display overall...
paid mine 1100 "second hand" well worth it

Offer also available at kandco.com

Only good on the Macbook Air's as they have the latest Haswell chips. Not worth it on the retina models for reasons stated above.

ivy bridge is pretty much the same performance, Haswell is just more efficient. Also the Air doesn't even have a retina display, so your statement makes no sense.

Macbook Pro Retina master race checking in.

Poverty PC owners wish they could afford a macbook.

Actually it does make sense as I was describing two different models! The MacBook airs are the latest model with the Haswell chips which are a lot better in the battery department, better onboard graphics, less heat generated, faster ssd, so are worth getting using this offer. The MacBook pros with retina displays are due to be upgraded very shortly with Haswell and better graphics to power the retina display, so this offer is not worth it on that particular model IMO!

It's only on a few products. It's on the one in the op and the one I posted further down for the MacBook Air. I haven't really looked for any others.
