These cables are superb, and reviewers say that they are superior to Apple's own cable according to reviews. Thicker grade of cable and stiffer cable boot to avoid the common breakage at this point and lots of reviews on the page to say this.

Why would you need a thicker cable. Never had any of mine crack or split. And it's a very good price. Heat added just confused how it's better
