Apple one day shopping event Friday 1st Dec

Apple are having a 'shopping event' for one day only on Friday 1st Dec.

It's anticipated there will be discounts both in store and online. Worth holding off a purchase to see what the prices are like!

I'm not sure if you're abe to use any discount codes but it's worth a try!

Apple had their recent shopping event in the USA for Thanksgiving.

Not sure if UK/European discounts will follow the same discount structure or not.

^ ttt

starts at midnight tonight

Welcome to the forums alarmeng . Hope there's a bargain for you to grab tomorrow

Anyone know if the education store will have the same discounts?

ping boonkoh

It's likely they will be the same, in the US the standard prices dropped to the value of the Educational Discount store. But the Educational Store didn't have a price drop.

Well heres hoping i can manage to get a Mini DVI to DVI cabel and a 13" sleeve typ case for the Macbook.

Welcome to HotUKDeals alarmeng and Thanks for the post scrooge ;-)

What time is this ment to start? It is well past 12am now.

I'm back!! Sorry, didn't visit Hot Uk Deals since morning, so didn't get a chance to read this thread until now!

Hmm... that's odd. Perhaps it starts at sometime in the morning.. like 7.

Regarding discounts... probably on the macbook and imac, and "perhaps" on an ipod, but I wouldn't count on it.

Lots of discount on apple software? and perhaps some accessories.... ipod cases.

This looks as if its going to be a long drawn out process. See some pages have been cleared...not much else happening.

Will look in morning.

Any idea if HE prices will be discounted?

BTW the store always closes at midnight.

Oh and I've asked this before but not got an answer - can anyone tell me how to get the HE discount and Quidco?

Nah, HE prices very unlikely to be discounted, otherwise I would have had bee instructed to do a marketing push aimed at students.

Can you use the discount vouchers on top of the discounts?

I can't see any savings that you can't beat just by buying from a non-Apple sauce (boom boom! :giggle:)

Yeah, there offers seem to be quite poor considering you can buy it cheaper from elsewhere anyway but i suppose it may prove worthwile for anyone that wants free laser engraving on there ipod as an xmas gift.

*bump*

not huge discounts - the macbook and imacs seem better discounts for the normal punter.

Parallels Desktop software seems a good discount.

Don't forget 3% Quidco if buying online.

Not exactly earth shattering offers considering their marketing push for this event. On principle buy elsewhere at a cheaper price! :-(

Im looking to buy a macbook, where can you get it cheaper?

Ordering from a university intranet ie. .ac.uk site.

Anyone on a HE site who can find out if the discount and Quidco and the £56 voucher can all be used?

You can also get access via a regular URL. I'll pm it to you.

Thanks that would be great

poopscoop: Although Apple can do nothing about you giving out the direct URL for the HE store, but if its gets out into the general public, we will close that particular HE store for that university down, as that will be the only way to prevent abuse of that link.

How are you checking that stanley is in a HE institution? I would hate to imagine your university losing its HE store...

Thanks boonkah. The Apple HE store is for affiliated university use only. Anyone using it who is not part of the HE scheme is using it fraudulently.
