Obviously going to get voted cold as it’s an apple deal! Would be £258 if you purchased separately so nearly a saving of £50! Can’t find these both together cheaper anywhere else you also seem to get 10% off on accessories if you work for the public services in store only! Also to note John Lewis will price match this as I’ve just purchased it through them to get the extra warranty!

Apple Pencil: £99
10.5 Apple Keyboard: £159

It’s kind of sad that some people automatically vote cold on anything Apple-related - each deal should be judged on the saving made, which in this instance is good

There is no iPad for 200 quid.
I'm sure I heard in reviews it's not worth anything near the rrp.

Agreed. This is a good deal.
This is a brilliant find!
Haven’t tried the keyboard, but the pencil is amazing to use!
Deals are different to different people. If an RRP of an item was £500 but it was only considered by a person to be worth £300 then is a £400 price a good deal??
Not to that person, but it may be to someone else.
I’m in the Apple charge way too much camp, but if people pay what they charge, who am I to say a slightly lower price isn’t a good deal.
I’ll go now as I’ve not really made a point in the end.

Massive assumption, but nevermind.

The items at RRP are overpriced so a bit of a saving doesn’t have to make it a deal. £159 for a keyboard? It’s nothing special (but it’s not bad) - that money would buy you a mechanical one with change for a PC or the Surface keyboard with fingerprint scanner. The Pencil is alright but not for £100 though CeX has them for £45.

But the big kick in the teeth is that it’s paired with a iPad that costs well over £500. I sold my iPad Pro and went back to an Air 2 pocketing £400 at the same time because it’s not really giving any killer features.
Good deal! But I’m skint so can’t treat my iPad Pro to this #donationsaccepted lol

As Apple rarely lets resellers discount their accessories, the RRP is actually the price for their accessories. If you can find this cheaper then let me know and used items don’t count

But this is a good deal - unless you can show evidence of being able to find a new Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard for less than £209 (not second-hand from CEX)? I have an iPad Pro and I don't have the Smart Keyboard because I don't like it, but that doesn't stop this being a good deal for those who do want it.

Good deal is subjective and I don't think it is. Whatever you say isn't going to make me change my mind. It's nothing to do with 'hating Apple', I bought an iPhone X on launch day and didn't regret it. £200+ for a middling keyboard (because there are better designed third party ones) and a glorified stylus is crazy, you can paint it however you like.

Also RRP is meaningless, a product's value is what someone wants to pay for it as someone else already pointed out. See all those watches with RRPs of £1000+ but going for £20 special offer on Amazon or shopping channels for an extreme example.

I'm not questioning your opinion (which I partly agree with), just your logic for why it's not a good deal. You can't buy this bundle cheaper anywhere else.

I see that you are not arguing for the sake of it, but as I said 'good deal' is subjective not an absolute. Just because it's cheaper here than elsewhere does not, in my opinion (and a lot of others apparently), make it a good deal. So I can't see why you have an issue with the logic personally.

Regardless of the price, if it’s the cheapest you can find it, it’s a good deal. Especially when John Lewis price match it and give you 1 extra years warranty!

Something is not necessarily a good deal just because you can’t find it cheaper elsewhere. There are many other factors apart from price that make something a good deal for an individual.
However, it is certainly useful to back up the reason why someone doesn’t think it is a good deal if it appears to be the best price.

I do also agree, but on the other hand people voting cold because they either don’t like Apple or don’t think it’s the right price. This website is to put the best deal you can find on an item and to help others save money. But because people are voting cold, someone who is Interested in buying this has probably lost out now due to people doing this and I thought the whole objective was to help save people money..

Definitely. Each deal should be looked at individually. I guess the problem with Apple is that some people see everything they do as being good value for a great product with incredible design, there are equal numbers that just see an overpriced overhyped gadget that does little more than something else half the price and people just follow like sheep.
Yay, I’ve probably managed to rile both haters and fanboys in one post.
Good saving BUT surely it’s cheaper just to buy a non-Apple one instead? And if their casing is anything like the leather iPhone case quality...

It’s cheaper to do that yes, but you can’t get a third party accessories that do the same as the pencil. And the pencil has recently been dropped in price to £89 BTW

To be fair don’t think it’s bad for £150 if you can get 25% off, free pencil really just pay for the keyboard

If you find yourself needing one, get a cheaper one off Amazon still around £50 but better IMO
