this is a good price. tempted for my girlfriend's bday present, but at the same time, makes me look bad if i'm gonna get her this, rather than the latest technology

Dude spend £280 on your girlfriend will not make you look bad, buying it because you want it and hope that she gets bored with it and you can effectively start using yourself, will ;-)

remember its refurb so its up to you if its got wee scratches etc....

Theres a 32gb one but with 3g for the same price, which is better?

This deal is a duplicate of this :

Looks like you missed it by 8 mins. or so !

Sorry, noticed the different memory specification - still, worth linking the two deals.

I want to buy but keep getting an online bank server error grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!

Fantastic price I managed to get a new 32gb for about £330 after various discounts (including one through my work) but £279 for a 64gb with 12 month warranty is amazing.

Thanks - bargain price for 64GB model.

just bought 2 32gb +3g brilliant price

If your girlfriend will think less of you for not spending more and buying the latest iPad, your girlfriend's a bit shallow

Surely thats up to you? Are you going to be using it away from WIFI signal a lot?

I personally got a WIFI only one and a MIFI from 3. Can use the MIFI with my laptop aswell, and it was cheaper

I know what will surprise her... get her sweet F.A., nudda, nothing.. she'll be well chuffed!

The 3G version will require a sim card with a data plan - the cost soon adds up if you only need occasional 3G access.

Just need a cheap case now - any bargains out there?

32GB + 3G, IMHO

What happens when the flash disk bites the dust? Are they easy to replace yourself? Can you just plug in a SDHC card instead/inplace of? How advanced is the wear levelling and write filtering?

surely a miss price as the 16gb and 32gb refurbished cost more?

ordered, couldn't help it. I'll sell my 32GB Wifi version and enjoy the extra space!

1 hour of trying and finally the server serves! Thank you Mr RBS for listening. Who knows of any decent priced cases?

Are your questions rhetorical or do you really think someone might know the answer. As with all Apple products it's not straight forward to replace any component and it's best to leave it to the experts. Ipads will never support expandable memory unless they released their own unique MC type. I would expect such a high-end product to accept 1,000,000+ read/writes before it starts failing.

Oh no I just bought one
It will be my first Apple device

Out of stock.

One of you lot must have had the 64gb 3G one I was about to buy..

:-(

out of stock now.....(_;)

Just tried to order but puts the 16GB model into my basket, instead of the 64GB. Must have been a missprice.

no longer available. looks like pricing error

Expired - had one in my basket but dithered for too long. A pricing error methinks.

Nowing showing as "Unavailable". Looking at the prices for the other IPad's on their site, I suspect that this was an error.

This isnt entirely true. There is a camera add on with a memory slot in it. Obviouslt not ideal but you "can" effectively expand the memory that way but you'll have a thing sticking out of the bottom.

Had 64Gb in basket and was completing payment when webpage decided to give up - assuming because no stock left.

It doesn't recognise it as expandable memory however, it interacts solely with the photos app, and only sees photos saved on the SD Card, nothing else.

I had hoped people buying this quickly might find time to share their knowledge.

Cursed Apple 'high-end's, just wait 'till they get their little-ends crushed by the mighty Intel big-ends.

it would be interesting to see if they actually deliver these at the prices!!!

just got another email:

We are now preparing your Dixons order for delivery .

msharif911

One of you lot must have had the 64gb 3G one I was about to buy..:-(

I may have got the last one as it was about that time I put my order through!

I did got a "We are now preparing your Dixons order for delivery ." pretty soon after.

Hope it doesn't suffer from screen bleeding like some people mentioned on this thread or the other one or it will be getting sent back!

£6.49 for a good case and x 2 screen protectors (use express delivery option to get this price) hotukdeals.com/dea…986

hope you get them, those that ordered. Would say a def mis-price.

Dont by the offical apple case - its poorly designed and prevents docking (even with offical apple keyboard) The staff in the apple store just shrugged there shoulders at me when I pointed out this fault telling me to take it out the case and said the offical iphone bumper stops alot of headphones and music sysytems docking with it but no one seems to complain............. Grrrrrr

kind of bummed that as I was going through the checkout process it suddenly went unavailable!!

If they take the money I think that makes the contract binding...otherwise they have the right to cancel as you have only made an intention to treat. Have had this issue before with a few retailers who have mispriced stuff. Play, HMV to name two, but the decent sites will usually honour the price. Dixons have always been a good retailer to me, so I am interested in how this one pans out....and hope everyone posts if they get their order fulfilled.
