Once the six is out, would it not be worth waiting for the seven!?

Hot, I would of got it last month when I was allowed go gym or be out and about. But I would go for the larger size for £370

This is a good price for this model.

i would recommend the series 5 if you can pay extra, the always on display is a great update. I don’t personally find cellular useful. I think I’ve taken two calls in four months so could save money by just going for the GPS model (and less on your line rental).
Currys had the 44mm for £319 not long ago, which makes this not as good a deal. It’s sold out now but occasionally pops back up. Haven’t voted either way.

Yeah I’m the same. However if I want to run/gym and not take my phone I can GPS my music - I use the data for this way more than calls

Also I was one of the lucky ones on here that got the series 5 when Nike messed up their website and reduced it by mistake - they still honoured it !

Choose where to upgrade carefully. Apple don’t offer the best rates
Claiming £499 regular price when that’s the Series 5 cellular current RRP is a bit misleading.

um which part of I’m not prepared to pay this price and last time I got it for a massive discount due to HUKD leads you to suggest that I wouldn’t always look for the best deal?
Is the series 5 worth the upgrade compared to the series 4?

They didn’t upgrade the processor, they just changed something marginally. There’s not much between them. That’s why Apple sell the 5 and 3, as opposed to 5 and 4.
Ordered the 44mm version yesterday

The series 5 has 32gb of memory now, a huge amount for music anyway.

I got the stainless steel which always has cellular anyway. Just a suggestion that might help others pick the right model for them.

Always on display is the biggest improvement.

Looks a bit more like a normal watch now, I always found the blank screen a bit off putting when I saw others wearing them (this is my first smart watch, only got it because of the Nike glitch). Also functionally its an improvement to be able to glance at the watch rather then have to move your wrist. Whilst you'll develop muscle memory with the S4, it makes it obvious to others you're looking at your watch and I have a habit of doing that.

Having said that, I got my Dad the S4 for the heart monitoring features, so have used it for a bit when setting up for him/etc. I don't think i'd bother upgrading S4 to S5, unless you really care about the way it looks when you're wearing it.
Will this make me run faster? Are they serious with that RRP price of £499?

Do you know how the heart monitoring features compared to cheaper and or newer watches?TIA

Yeah but when the 6 is less than 6 months away surely they have a point!

But who knows with any certainty what apple are doing in six months time!? Mostly just idle speculation. Plus, Apple are not the only manufacturer of such products and so somebody else may come up with a better offering in the meantime. Maybe we should wait and see. There’s always something just around the corner, is my point.

It’s not idle speculation when they do an annual refresh of a product

There is always something better if you wait long enough but you can use history, patterns and educated guesses to limit bad choices

I get a day out of mine. So, not necessarily true what Taurus says . Depends how often you use it.
I have a series 2 and don’t really see any point in upgrading as it does everything I could possibly want

My Dad hasn't noticed any difference with his S4 either. Still gets well over a day with his.

Oh....I am sorry to hear that.
Tons of people use "need" instead of "want".
I hope you're well.
