I wonder how often you would need to charge this...

Well I've had my Apple Watch Series 1 since April 2016, I still just about get 2 days out of it. My usuage is basic, it tracks my activity and I occasionaly answer phone calls or reply to texts.

Your milage might vary, but after over 3 and a half years later I can't complain.

Every 4,234,209,900 days
Good price but 96% seller rating means you open yourself up to quality issues. I wouldn't normally buy below 98% especially with technology.

I don’t know, both deals have merits. The Series 4 is a big step up from the Series 2, whether it’s worth the extra £95 is up to you, but the Series 4 should last twice as long in terms of future software updates.
The same seller also has S3 for £128 (GPS) and £136 (Cellular) (also 42mm s/s) which has got to be worth it over the S2!

The series 3 they sell are described as good consition.
Don't bother with the Series 2. It's unusably slow with the OS.
I have a Nike Series 2 and get 2 to 3 days charge, this is a really good price.

Is that the cellular one , I’m sure if it has a red ring on that side button it is like the picture but could just be a stock photo

Sold my series 2 for £70 to a mates kid.

My series 3 loses about 30% battery after a typical day from 6.30am to midnight. Excellent.
Seems pretty cheap, I had a series 3 and thought it was great apart from limited battery life - which affects all Apple watches. Only switched to Garmin as it’s better for running. Heat from me.
My series 2 only seems to get 1 day. Is it easy to change the batteries on these things?
Also will mySeries 2 42mm straps work on the iwatch 5?
Great prices for all 3 watches here, AW 2, 3 and 4
Having used all 3, despite the AW3 being only a bit more expensive than the AW2 its hardly any different, tiny bit faster thats it.
the AW4 is a newer form factor with a better screen, thats worth going for, but ultimately its double the price of the AW2 and if this is your first Apple Watch you can not argue with the bargain here fat £103.

I could probably get 2 days battery life out of my AW2, but I charge it every night anyway. Its usually on 45-55% battery by the time I go to sleep after a full day. Using the GPS for workouts (out door running in my case) does take its toll.

Not sure on the battery change, but yes, straps from AW1,2, and 3 versions of the 42MM watch will work on the AW 4 and AW 5 versions of the 44MM watch.

Hey, thanks for that. Super useful to know. So I might be better off getting the IW5 with sports straps and use my existing straps on there
Ordered aw3 129 quid. Wife sorted for xmas Thanks @MrSwitch

I've got an S2, had it for a couple of years. Running the latest OS, still happy with it. Sure it's not as sprightly as the newer stuff but it's definitely not "unusably slow" for me.

The default setting is to automatically install any iPhone app that has a corresponding watch app - it can help to disable this feature and remove any extraneous apps from the watch.

I have one, wouldn't recommend, all the fancy features drain the battery very quickly, configured mine to monitor steps and shows the time and that's it. Still struggle to get more than a day...
Don’t buy a series 2 I started off with a series 2 and returned it it’s to lose a series 3 is very fast and decent you don’t need a series 4 or 5 best value for money is a series 3

Thanks for the response and recomendation. I reset it last night and it's certainly better but still far slower than it was on OS4. I hadn't updated it in years and the drastic change since the update has been really noticeable.

Try the thing with the apps - I noticed when I upgraded to WatchOS 6 it was slow until I got rid of a bunch of 3rd party apps I never used anyway. It was probably just one badly written app but I wasn't interested in figuring out which. I started off on WatchOS 4.something but I've been regular with the updates so maybe I didn't notice the performance decrease quite as much as you? If you're in the habit of turning the watch off, be aware that when you turn it back on, the first time you open an app it will make you wait while it loads.

Also bear in mind this version of WatchOS 6 on the S1 & S2 is the first version 6 released for those watches so the next one may help when it's released.

I will admit I'm tempted by the S4 / S5 but the battery on this S2 is still in great shape after two years - I get two days no problem. I also use it for sleep tracking so I usually wear it 23/7 It might start flagging a bit towards the end of the 2nd day if I've been using it a lot. I still really like mine though, only paid £200 for it at the time and I've definitely had my money's worth already.
Might finally get one of these to be like the jones
I would never buy apple watch or any other smartwatch for that matter as am fed up with having to constantly charge. I've decided to go down the hybrid watch route.

Oof. That looks rough as f***.

Assuming you aren't going to sling it straight back at them, a screen protector might help to smarten it up a bit, they can mask scratches quite well. My S2 was brand new and is still pristine after two years but I use the Skinomi Matte ones which also help with screen glare and fingerprints.
