Again not for everyone but I just picked up an Apple Watch Series 3 42mm GPS only for £319. This is a savings of around £40 compared to Apple store. You will need to be travelling through one of the UK airports where they have a Dixons travel store. I purchased it at Heathrow terminal 2 but they do have a store at both Gatwick and Stansted airport.

Good luck and time for Apple bashing!

Apple Watch 38 and 42mm.

Details

Top features:

- Unique Nike band is comfortable, flexible, and copes with vigorous activity

- Nike+ Run Club turns the watching into a focussed running and sports tracker

- Built-in GPS records data and guides you without needing your iPhone

- Waterproof to 50 m gives you sports tracking in the water and in any weather

- New dual-core processor opens and runs apps much faster

Nike+

The Nike+ version of the Apple Watch has the same great features as the normal watch, but is more focussed on running.

It has a unique Nike to keep you comfortable during the longest and most intense runs, while exclusive Nike watch faces prioritise the information that's important to you, such as miles remaining or distance covered.

The Nike+ Run Club app is pre-installed which turns the Apple Watch into motivational running partner. Along with tracking all the important info about your run and your performance it connects you to other users for motivation, new routes around towns and cities, and tips on how to improve.

It even asks ‘Are you running today?', and gives a summary of what your friends are up to, the weather, and other important information to tempt you outside.

Built-in GPS

The Apple Watch now comes with integrated GPS that works independently from your iPhone. You can track a run, follow map directions, and monitor your health without needing to be in range of your phone.

The new Viewranger hiking app uses GPS to plan routes, check progress, and view upcoming terrain wherever you are. It'll even give you a notification if you're straying too far from the planned route to stop you getting lost.

Waterproof

For the first time you can use Apple Watch in water. It tracks strokes, distance, calories burned and more to give you a clear picture of your current fitness level, how you're progressing, and what to do to improve.

Along with being perfect for swimmers, it also means it keeps working perfectly if you drop it in water.

Dual-core processor

A new dual-core processor powers the AppleWatch Watch Nike+ 42 mm. It has 50% more power than the previous generation which helps it load notifications instantly, run more demanding fitness apps, and generally operate more smoothly.

I wonder when this APPLE bashing for no reason goes away on HUKD and people actually started to vote for things that are a HOT DEAL.

If you are voting cold can you please let us know if they can be purchased any cheaper else where as some of us can benefit rather than just voting cold.

It's the morons on here that think this is a review site. It's a DEALS site, I don't care what you think of the product!

Good price, good product.
If flying to the US I’m guessing there is a bigger saving over there
why should people have to justify why they vote the way they do, everyone has their own opinion on what makes a hot or a cold deal.

But most people's opinions are wrong, so it helps to decide if that is the case.

I agree in this context and don't think judgment should be made on this being an Apple product etc. (And I'm not an Apple fanboy, particularly of the watch, but happy to vote hot here).

However, feedback on whether a product works and how well etc, (e.g is never heard of Shark vacuums until they appeared on here, or that a particular product has a known issue) is useful as it helps to judge whether it is worth the price (and therefore a deal), even if that price happens to be cheap.

They’ll certainly be cheaper, as it’s the same price in dollars as it is in sterling. But if you’re after a cellular version I’d double check they’d work in the UK. I was in the Apple store in November just before I went to Florida and they assured me the American version wouldn’t work in the UK......... I suppose it could of been the sales pitch though?

Nothing to do with bashing them, some of us just don't like these monstrosities full stop, Casio are disgusting enough but these tablet on a wrist things not a good look thus in my brave new world anyone wearing one of these will be executed on live primetime television

I not worn a watch for years anyway, got a Tag I weighed on 800 quid 20 odd years ago somewhere, but if I did start wearing one again it'd be something like a Breitling not a minging smart device. Call me old fashioned and vain but I just want my watch to tell the time and look/be the part rather than being a sat nav stop watch that screams out "yes I am a tool" big time.

There you go, didn't even mention the A word so calm yourself Beryl not everyone is out to slate your favourite tech brand

I agree but only if you can go to places like Delaware or New Hampshire where you can buy them sales tax free. Otherwise with sales tax of roughly 10% you don't really end up saving a lot. Again warranty on electronics can be a pain but Apple are good in that front.

I too am not a fan and prefer proper watches but none of that matters here, it doesn't justify cold voting (abstaining is preferable) and doesn't even need posting.

Abstain, I like that word and it indeed is the option I usually employ on items I care little for......apart from Nintendo Switches which still get heat of a thousand plus even at a paltry £1.75 below RRP, the blue minus will always get a tap there
I picked one up from John Lewis when they had it for £329 for the 42mm one. I collected it today but popped into the Apple store to try one on and speak to the staff there. To be honest, I wasn't blown away so am considering returning my one. I've not opened it yet but on reflection, notifications and fitness is the only thing this offers - and for £300+ it seems a little high.

Simple answer - Yes as you are bringing in more than you are allowed tax free which is around £200 I think. You will have to go via the green (?) channel and declare your items and pay relevant tax. But I have heard stories where people have brought things back without any problems. Your call.
