🙄 the purpose of the updates Apple made was to prevent older mobiles from bricking not to brick them. Unfortunately technology moves on quicker than people would like, which may mean that older devices go by their sell by date.

Also just to help with your worries Apple are releasing a update in February that will give you the option to opt out of the battery clocking update, you will also have the option to check what your battery will be clocking in at meaning you can find out if your device requires a battery change.

To be fair, ALL the phone manufacturers do it, but somehow no one mentions the likes of Samsung whose phones slow down considerably after a year or so when the next Android release is installed on the device.

I recently bought a new iPhone 6S (because I wanted a headphone jack), and I haven’t had any performanceissues. Presumably you just need a new battery?

Someone always has to drag out the the old Apple are scum and I’m a Droid fan.

Apple were naughty and should have told us. The logic of the software is sound, the delivery wasn’t. However at least they tried.

Thanks I have updated the title to include the 38mm
They were price matching Argos when I posted my deal and I ended up just buying from them. However, now I have to suffer the pain of 'attempted delivery' from Royal Mail which has already missed it's first attempt, despite proof of them never even appearing, on CCTV.

doesn't make sense, phone worked perfect until I made the stupid updates. Apple tries to blame something else but their updates are causing the issues

Still using an iPhone 6. No such problems here.
Great price if you want to one. I had one for a year. Was good but ended up not wearing my other watches. Since moved to android so no use for mine and can't say I miss it.

Funny how people interpret things. Apple are offer a £20 battery replacement on a device that is now over 3 years old, not many manufacturers that would do that.

Samsung often drop support for devices upgrades within 12 months. And once out of warranty you’ve got zero chance of them giving zero ***** if something goes wrong.

Plenty here …Plenty here https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/apple-ipad-97-2017-32gb-wifi-gold-23899-with-code-eglobalcentral-2877417 seem to have been ok?

I would avoid like the plague for the sake of £30. The reviews are savage.
Still can't justify it at this price but heat anyway!!
Do you not have to buy the earphones in order to get the discount?

No, im pretty sure the offer is if you buy the Powerbeats with the watch they take £40 off the total order.

I think the powerbeats cost £150

They in fact do, just as people complain about Windows slowing down its just people don't pay attention to something that is out of their interest, that and unlike Apple theres multiple manufacturers and models not just one maybe too of each Apple does.

My older Iphone (can't justify paying hundreds just for a phone that is outdated quickly) was ok for first month despite nagging me to update, after I did it screwed with the touch settings, kept cutting out even if battery was near full charge and had only been used a few times to check time, data, 4g, wifi turned off and battery saver turned on, I either had to wait for about 10 minutes and turn back on else it told me I needed to charge and it worked no problem, or put it in charger for less than a minute and take cable back out and it worked for another 2 days or so which meant the battery was charged

With android most of the slowdown was due to bloatware, get a clean rom and flash it yourself and even with the newest version your phone acted like new, same for tablets.

The next update will remove allow you to control the slowdown.

Search for another retailer (that also has a presence on the “high street”, not “online only”) for a similar price and get John Lewis to price match.
First thing I did hass but can’t see any
Back to £329 for 38mm and £359 for 42mm.
It's funny how fast Apple prices dropped this year considering it was a "major" release with a whole new phone. The Apple Watch Series 2 was £375 about 9 months ago while the Series 3 has already dropped to £329
