Apple Watch series 4 44mm cellular EE For £26.10 due to a glitch
Ok so to get this I tried going through Quidco and getting the “as good as new” versions of the watch. After putting in my card details the purchase failed ... “link not found error” so then I went on the chat and explained that I tried to purchase and described the issue above. The agent informed me that he cannot put “good as new” through (I have been told this before so believe it to be true). Anyway he came back and offered me the £26.10 a month for a brand new version (Nike 44mm series 4 cellular) and I then explained about Quidco and said that if there is no upfront cost I would go for it (as I couldn’t get the Quidco payout). He agreed to that deal after consulting with his manager and it is arriving on Tuesday. So if you want one on a contract try going on chat and seeing if they will do the same for you.

Apple Watch is £529

Cellular subs is £5 a month if you buy the watch outright. Over 24 months, it’s £120

Total is £649

This deal is just under £25 cheaper and you get to spread the cost.

If the OP spells it out like this for everyone, it might not get as many cold votes

Why? Have you got something better to contribute?
How long is the contract?

Will be 24 months
So it’s £100 more to get it on co tract with EE than buying it outright? Seems a bit steep but when compared to phones on contract, about right I guess

The reason why is this is a cellular model and will come with a sim deal specific for the Apple Watch. This model will let you text, call, etc even you are no where near your phone. This is the £100 part.

Thank you. I figure those who are interested will know the score. I don’t expect this to get hot but hope it can help someone.

Best smart watch on the market by a considerable margin but I’m sure your input is valid somewhere.

£627 seems a bit steep? Could you not get the watch and a years worth of data service for around £500? The watches don’t use much data so unlimited may not be worth it, unless I’m missing something? I have given heat anyway, many people use the cold vote as a vendetta over products they can’t afford, missing that a majority of posters actually give up their valuable time to share these things with others. So thank you all the same

I completely agree with you that they are expensive (I wish it only cost £100 but they don’t!) It is a quality product and are top of the range in what they do so unless you have something else to contribute then I think you have made your point that you don’t think an Apple Watch is a good price. I understand thank you for your input. I have an old iPhone 7 that is now on a cheap pay monthly contract same as my Mrs and we both have this watch on contract so instead of us paying £89 for just two phones and our monthly phone allowances we now pay £79 for the phones and the two new watches. We both run and I am concerned about her health and safety whilst out running so I think a cellular version suited our situation.

I wouldn’t say that. The watch is worth the money, but it’s perceived value is subjective based on the individuals needs I guess. I agree that I wouldn’t pay this much for the watch, but I wouldn’t say it’s not worth it to someone that has that cash disposable for the item.

I’ve owned the Gear watches, and they don’t compare in my view.

Yes the watch is great if you need one but this deal is way to expensive

You can the GPS version cheaper around the £400 mark but they can’t do cellular (so unless you have your phone next to the phone at all times you won’t be able to get calls or text). The cellular version is good for people who are out and about walking / jogging and don’t want to carry their phone with them. Eg when my Mrs is out running I don’t want her having a £400 Watch and a £500 phone being visible and her become an easy target. I think it is safer for her just to have the watch and no phone but still be able to call me if she is worried. Once when she was out running she called me as she believed somebody was following her - luckily I got to her and he went off when he saw me (maybe he wasn’t following her but she obviously felt safer being able to contact me)

The thing I missed is that I got 6 months free subs with the series 3 when I bought that and would imagine it’s the same with the series 4.

With that in mind, the deal is £5 more expensive but that’s a cheap price for the cost of borrowing.

It’s a shame that it’s not a stock deal rather than a live chat specific deal.
Not to spoil the party, but the wife got a series 4, 44 cellular pink, brand new on a EE contract for 21x £20 & 3 x £18. Meaning the first three months she got a 2 pound discount. I know, sound like I'm full of $het, but yeah sometimes the rep will sell you at any price to make their quota.
