I took my non working series zero in.
Short discussion about terms, they do not state it must power on.
I got my £100 trade in.

Great price
Probabaly worth adding the £100 trade in into the title as well. Anyone who is thinking about upgrading a series 1 will have a cracking deal here

Nice!
Can you only get the £100 trade in offer by going in store? Or can you buy online to store and then trade in?

It sounds as though you need to do the trade in first and they give a voucher for you to use against your purchase. I’m going into a store tomorrow so can confirm how ‘it works’ then
I have never had a Apple Watch before. I was thinking of getting one ....is it worth the money??

I love my Apple watch, but is the £300 or so price tag worth it? You seem to get much more for your money on a £300 iPad for example, but you can't put that on your wrist !
You really have to get the use out of it to make it worth its while. For example using as a smart watch and a fitness tracker rather than just one or the other.
Thank you . Do these get any cheaper? lol

Hi 👋

I’m planning to get my wife an Apple Watch for Christmas. Is the series 5 enough of a step up to justify the extra £60? I believe it’s just an extra 16gig and the always on display.

Any thoughts?

the AW5 that your seing at £60 extra - is that also at Currys? if so thats the smaller 40MM display.
you might be fine with the smaller display, but really its a £90 difference between AW4 and AW5 if you are comparing like for like on the 44mm models.

Not having an always display on my AW2 hasn't bothered me so I guess you will be fine. Its "a nice to have" feature but its a lot for £90

lol wish I knew. its either now or the January sales. Other than that the next major price drop will probably be when the AW6 comes out in September and the older models become cheaper

Thanks! I’ve decided to go for this version 4. Seems like a great deal.

It depends what you’d use it for. If just a watch then it’s prob a bit pricey. I use mine for tracking running, football and gym and also use it to control podcast in the car (really good to skip annoying ads! Using the +30 seconds button)

Timers for cooking or parking and it makes checking notification so much easier with a quick glance.

Taking calls can be handy on it as well (rarely use that tho)

Just been down and they are being extremely picky about the slightest mark. Had a couple of small light scratches in the screen which were classified as deep by the staff so they wouldn't let me use the deal.

Probably not worth bothering unless your phone is pristine.

I’m in the same boat...thinking of stumping up for series 5 for the “always on” feature, as watching some reviews, it seems like it makes more of a difference than you think. That said series 4 would also be ideal

I traded my Series 2 with no issues, they did not even look at it to be honest.
I wish I had one to trade in but I’m torn between getting the 3 or 4 for the good lady’s Christmas.
Does anyone know if they'd take a trade in where the glass has come away from the watch ? I could glue it back together.
And do they require the box and the charger as well?
Be nice to have a spare charger.

Seems to depend on store, mine was just the watch, no cable, charger, and watch was completely dead, it in one piece.
Initally no, ur asked them to check terms on website to show me where it had to be a working watch, no further argument, gift card raised.

Also the compass adds functionality to Apple maps as it points in the direction you are facing making it easier to navigate if you use it. Also, the always on feature and compass could be developed further in the future for other apps I suppose and the resale value will most probably make up the difference you pay if that is something to think about. I just upgraded from a series 3 to a 5 recently so maybe I'm justifying the extra spend (paid £386 from Ebay Argos when10% was on). Massive difference from 3 though great watches whatever you go for.

Massive jump for from 3 to 4 so must be a yes!

So do you recommend 3 for extra 100 or series 4 for 219

The Wife has got me an S4 for Xmas so used my S1 to get her a S3. Personally I’d go for a 4
Went to trade in with no joy , sales person and customer service guy on the phone was super picky , according to the terms any marks on the watch will make the trade in value £2 even though the web page states £100 guaranteed value, basically in there view you would need to trade in a brand new watch to be eligible( even my 3 month old s3 wasn’t good enough , and it’s basically mint), this also includes the charging lead . And what’s really annoying is I contacted there customer services to clarify the terms and condition before travelling over . To all who have traded with no issue “congrats” to all those looking at trading “good luck”

That’s rubbish. Do you have another store near by or could also try again with other staff?

I’m still owed £65 from the ‘deal’ so hopefully it’ll be added when I pick up. Ready to kick off though if not, haha
is this still on? i cant find where to do it on the site...
