Cold, its still £389 and you trade in an old iPhone (and get shafted on the trade-in price) and think that's a deal?

e.g iPhone SE 64GB - £40 LOL

Dream on, poor deal. You'd have to be pretty gullible to fall for this... oh wait, did the OP already do this?

Walkie talkie is the top feature. I use it all the time and it works really well

Hi Sharp, no I have the series 3 and really like the watch, I won’t be changing, but maybe if you have an old series 1 and want a change. It might be worth trading in as the offer is also available on the series 3. Not sure how to link

I thought the watch would be a gimmick at first, but having notifications and being able to reply easily to them on your wrist is nice in a formal surrounding when getting your phone out would seem inappropriate.

It’s £100 for your Watch, not iPhone, which could be a good deal if it’s a 1st generation.
Semi duplicate deal ...

Yeah was thinking it’s a good deal for original Apple Watch or series 1, Apple trade in on them is £25 so £100 is much more tempting!

Yep, mine is starting to struggle with a days use (off dock 05.30, dead by 10pm) and missing out on features now it’s stuck on older WatchOS. Tempting... this also applies to Series 3 watches.

Not sure I get the point of this deal.
Most smart watches are worth at least £100 in the used market aren't they?
Apart from saving you the hassle of listing your existing smart watch on eBay or similar, what are you gaining?

Sadly even the series 3 I have struggles to get two days from a full charge and medium use. Series 3 is the best bet in my eyes. I wouldn’t need the extra size and features of the series 4. Im new to posting deals so didn’t really know which one to put in the title. In hindsight maybe the cheaper one as this is a deals sight, but I put in the description the link to the cheapest series 3.

I’m not sure about the used market, but the hassle free trade in can be a draw to some. As the fees, postage, buyer/seller communications for a couple extra quid isn’t everyone’s cuppa tea. Might be a deal for some and not for others, but if I help one person I’m happy

If you have and old Apple Watch that’s worth around £100 it’s sure to have a few scratches on the screen so they won’t give you the full money. The t&c make it sound like your trade in needs tone brand new. ‘
The screen must be in full working order, with no cracks, damage or faults ‘

If they would take the “1st generation” why wouldn’t they take a series 1... that’s even more of a deal if they take the original watch. I’d snap the deal right up if I had one.

It’s not part of their standard Trade In, it’s a special stand alone offer, others have already taken advantage of the offer and used gen1/series1 and got £100.

I agree, but scratches are to be expected in an old device, but cracks in the screen make a fundamental difference to performance along with damage and faults. I’ve traded in before, the people who work in the stores are fair and if your device meets the standard it’s a no hassle trade and walk away with your new device, happy days

Thank you Dub, appreciated.
Their idea of price for their tradeins are unbelieveable. I wasted 40 mins of my life last week in there being passed from person to person because no one knew what they were doing before being told my laptop was worth £25 before I walked out. I remarked to another customer, also bewildered 'you would think they don't want your money'. With competition from Amazon you would think these shops would up their game. I'm not trying to buy anything from them again. BTW a staff member even told me that their £100 trade-in offer isn't clear. You have to spend over £600 on a purchase of a laptop to get the £100 trade in any case so I would think it would be the same for phones. This isn't detailed at all on their posters around the store only on the hidden away leaflets.

People on here are believing in something that unless you have just walked into the store with a new product and are spending over £600 on another product would ONLY THEN make you eligible for the deal. Please bear this in mind.

Cool story I know but I hope the two mins wasted reading this stops someone wasting 40 mins in the store with incompetent staff.

Please don't waste your time.

Batezy, I agree with you, the standard trade in values SUCK.. a lot like GAME if you play video games etc. It’s like a game of Russian roulette when you go into the store if you will find the clued up member of staff. This one is for a watch so we should be safe from the £600 purchase this time.

I honestly can't see it being honoured. I understand why you have posted it because I would be excited if I thought it was possible but the reality of it is that the chances of being given £100 by them for anything is extremely slim.

The laptop I wanted was out of stock so they told me I should order it online and it'll come into the store the next day.... Why should I do it when they work for the company and I have driven to the store and am standing there like a pleb?! Their customer service is abysmal.

I have only traded in once for the iPad under the guaranteed trade in value and it was a good experience. So I believe it will always be honoured. I guess it comes down to the store visited and factors like time, if it’s busy, attitude of the staff.

They aren’t to know you are a pleb, Did they help you order it online, so you could go back?

Can anyone please help with my query? I'm thinking if getting an Apple watch and currently have a iPhone 6s on SIM only with O2. Would I need to pay any extra per month to pair a cellular Apple watch to my phone ?
I've just noted on another thread that it's only EE that I can use? Not a problem as I'd be happy to swap to them, but has anybody got the watch on SIM only with EE? If so, does it cost any extra, sorry for all the q's.

I’ve had the AW4 since launch. I don’t have the cellular model but I know it costs around £10 extra / month on your phone contact if you want to use the watch like that without it being connected to your phone. The cellular model can be used as a standard none cellular model (connected to your phone) which wouldn’t cost you any extra.

The cellular version is only worth it if you go extended periods of time without your iPhone being around. If it isn’t more than a few hours a day I would save the money and go for non cellular.

Thanks for the advice. I take it I'd still be able to text and stuff from AW4 but just not accept/make calls? I'm normally always with the phone. Ideally I'd need to get to a shop to ask but I'm house bound at present and the web has conflicting information.

No worries, you can use the watch for phone calls and everything, it’s like a mirror of what is happening on your iPhone. Great little devices. You could get the series 3 from the cheapest link above and that would suit you perfectly (and save some money) the 42mm version, has more screen space, which I prefer. The different colours are just a personal choice so pick anyone you like. Try a quick search on YouTube for the comparisons between the two versions wi-fi vs cellular.
