    Thanks wajidc - excellent deal.

Remember this is as good as latest series 8 unless you are a woman trying to get pregnant and tracking her menstrual cycle or anticipating a serious car crash on a lonesome road.

CPU, battery life, WiFi and everything else are identical to latest Series 8 so this is a fantastic deal, especially for cellular model. The case is identical but it comes in different colours (including dark blue which looks nice - S8 is only midnight, starlight, silver and red).

It will cost an extra £7/month or so to use the cellular connection (only available as an add-on and it requires iPhone to be on EE, O2 or Vodafone etc). Well worth it if you like to go out without your phone and still be contactable. It also means you can stream internet content. It’s great when out running and I’ve even sent and received messages when swimming in a swimming pool! (edited)

Good post, on EE it’s £7 per month now. (edited)

Thanks, been looking for deal on new Apple Watch (my series 2 screen has just smashed). Never even considered a cellular one but looks a good deal so gone with it (and I got bored of looking for deals ) (edited)

So the cellular element is useless without adding on to your contract?

My son wants an apple watch, so trying to work out what to get

Yes, when you set up the watch for first time you can automatically add it on, it’s really easy. However, having jumped in and got this I’m not really sure I’ll use it that much. My thought was I’ll use for the gym so don’t need to take my phone but I need it anyway for workouts. If you do a lot of running/cycling I can see it would be good other than that I’m not so sure.
