Series 1?

Original Poster

yes

with the battery life bump(amongst other improvements) that the new watch has, i can see these ones become obsolete a lot quicker than you'd expect

This is a Series 0.

The Apple Watch Series 1 is actually slightly updated (new dual core processor) but otherwise the same as the original.

"their".

These are 1st Gen not series 1

Yes...these are the original Apple Watch. There are now three: The original (series 0 or 1st Generation, if you like), Series 1 with improved processor and the brand new Series 2 with GPS and waterproofing.

i think its because the Apple Watch 0 (Original) has kinda been 'discontinued' by Apple, they're only acknowledging the Apple Watch Series 1 as the first Apple Watch

Sorry, yes series 0

It's cold because it's an Apple product. People don't understand what a "HOTUKDeal" actually is.

It got Watch OS3 and the previous currys offering for £229 went over 1000.....

yeh i know deano, u been unlucky here mate lol. Maybe if you said it was 199 for the 38mm u would have gone hot too!

lol

well at least I got one and another person has so it's all good.

By all the negatives I've read about speed and battery, I thought this watch was going to be horrible. I bought it used (fresh) and os3 has just dropped and very surprised by how good this watch is. Personally I think it's fast enough (coming from a a Sony sw3) and more importantly I can dress it up or down.

Most people will by an iPhone 7 and do exactly the same things in the same amount of time as with an iPhone 5s. That's the way to look at things these days. The latest and greatest might look flashy and allow you to jump in water but is it worth the extra cost? I'm voting hot

A guy at work has the same watch and it seemed plenty fast enough to me. He certainly said os3 had improved it no end.
For the money I doubt you could getter a better smartwatch, with the features and support it has.

You're right. I got this Watch last week and am very impressed. I really can't see any need for the new processor. Very fast and smooth.
