long time no see, when did you travel to the planet earth?

Beautiful keyboard and really nice to use too.

£24.99 at Amazon, or am I missing something?

can i get these in black yet?

Admittedly, it's a very nice looking keyboard, and you wouldn't believe how hard it is to find an aluminium keyboard that is slim, reasonably priced AND has usb ports in a concealed place - I was looking at about £70 for an enermax aurora a an alternative....

Now for the downside - personally I think its a total pig to type on (and this is compared to my previous keyboard a £5 nobrand generic media keyboard) my accuracy has declined because of the lack of feedback and i get fingertip pain after prolonged typing whuch I never got despite years and years of typing.

If you get it for a PC, windows will recognise it, but be prepared for some minor annoyances, like having to download a keyboard remapper (google do one) to make the media keys work... bear in mind it doesnt have labelled keys for page up/down insert etc, and your windows key is now that weird twirly apple key..

On balance however, I would probably get it again, as it is (just about) stylish enough to make up for its practical shortcomings.....

I guess it is each to their own. I use one of these 8 hours a day for programming and have never had a better keyboard. Coupled with the Magic Mouse, it is a killer combo!

Brill keyboard. I've had one for years and I love it. Works OK with Linux but the default is for the top row of keys to act as media keys rather than function keys. This is a trivial setting to fix (but it is a stupid default). Very solid and economical use of desk space.

Just bought an iMac and the tiny keyboard is just too tiny. Miss the number keypad. Shame they dint do it in wireless

this keyboard is the nuts....

Brilliant keyboards to type on, nice and snappy, look good too!

£25.99 at Amazon, so same price.

Excellent find, £39 from Apple Store!

I cant belive they dont work on pc's.
I bought one and the guy in the apple shop said yes yes, it will work.

Well yes it did work, but some important buttons didnt, like the @ symbol and all the number symbols.
Took it back and the same guy said,.... I never told you that , and you cant have a refund, threatened to go to trading standards as I only had it 4 days, and he said fine and snatched it out of my hand.

You need to remap the keys for Windows, @ is shift-2 on a Mac as opposed to shift-' in windows.

Glad you didn't back down from the chancer in the Apple store though, his attitude sounded like the really bad Dixons staff you used to get back in the day.

As Nookester says, you can remap them. You can download a key remapper for free which lets you change them to what they normally would be.

Love this keyboard. Briliant for typing, plenty space between the keys.

Best keyboard I've used - using one to type this...

good but no hash key

Does anyone know how long the usb connection cable is?!

not sure but you get a usb extension cable with it

Hmmm, ok, hopefully someone will know, will ask google too in a minute!

Google tells me 90cm and the same for the extension so 180cm all together I believe!

I recently bought this keyboard after using a cheap generic keyboard with my Mac Mini since. At first I was reluctant to spend this much on a keyboard, but now I could never go back to a cheap keyboard. This thing just feels really satisfying to type on.

same price with amazon. Would rather go with them ...

Get a room

and being an apple keyboard you can guarentee it will start falling apart in 6 months. Seriously, apple have some quality control issues, i like (some) apple stuff but i hate the way it just doesnt last.

I'm using this keyboard with a windows PC and it is great to use. needed to remap a few of the keys but that wasn't too much hassle the only problem is that the concealed usb ports don't function. does anyone know a work around for this?

What are you plugging into it?

Apple have had some pretty awful keyboards over the years, but they made up for it with this one - it's the best keyboard I've ever used. It's incredibly easy to type on, great looking and, best of all, the flat design does not pick up dust and is incredibly easy to clean. Great build quality, too.

I have this one also, very quiet to type on and easy to keep clean as no gaps for food etc to fall on.

I believe it's a prerequisite for buying anything from Apple

Could be there's not enough juice for your stuff, passive hubs are only good for the lowest power and no-power stuff, as they draw all the power from the USB port on the computer, but then I would expect an error message at least.

You could try a different port on your computer, then just a low power thing like the mouse and see how it goes.

It's possible that the iPhone disabled the hub trying to draw too much power and it needs reset, but I've no idea what your setup is or what you've tried, just a thought.

Mine arrived from Amazon today, much better than the smaller wireless one, jst wish they had made this wireless too, but then I guess the USB's wouldn't work.
