Junk food.

£6 delivery for a £1 box of expiring food? Surely that will make the box more expensive than buying the food separately?

The minimum order value is £30 and 80% of the stuff on the site is actually a lot cheaper than in the shops but it’s mostly dry stuff and sweets

They should be donating this to food banks not making money.

Except that they're a business, which don't tend to last long if they give all their stock to charity and don't make money...

I took a punt on this with my last order as previously they've been great but this one was disappointing.

The only things in date were a packet of walkers crisps and a pot noodle, so I've put them to one side to add to the harvest festival foodbank donations my village is organising.

I'd been planning on giving most of the stuff to the food bank so it's a shame about the dates.

Overall actually it's good value but this time it's stuff I really didn't want to eat (smash, tinned strawberries & lychee drink?!) and I couldn't donate the bits. If you're more accommodating to random foods then for a quid it's worth it.

I got:
- pot noodle (in date)
- small packet walkers crisps (in date)
- box of 4/5 alpen bars (date early October so fine but unfortunately not suitable for donating to the foodbank)
- tin of cape drink in flavour lychee and peach with roiboos (out of date, may?! Sounds rank)
- bottle of water (out of date, but will use)
- bag of chocolates (out of date, September, I'm sure they're fine)
- smash, mashed potato (out of date, September, sounds rank I don't even want to try it).
- tin of strawberries (out of date, may?! Sounds rank, don't want to eat them).
- bar of chocolate (early October date, bit crushed but fine).

The jobless total is down though wages are still not rising
Our PM is more concerned with Brexit so it's no good criticizing
Our productivity is falling and our only rise is that of food banks
What does that tell you about this Government filled with utter planks

They very quickly place the blame on you for your rather poor lot
While out there fiddling their expenses and working other jobs while caring not a jot
Personal and National debt is rising to levels never ever seen before
No amount of austerity will ever correct the rot so is it time to show them the door

Things must be really bad if we have to buy out of date food for a pound
Or working families having to rely on Charity when they nothing else to eat can be found
What a sad country this has become so the super rich can make even more
So many of our young men sacrificed... but just what was it for
