AQ-S810W Casio Tough Solar watch - £22 @ Amazon

Says womans watch, but sold by others as mens watch. Who cares anyway, seems to be a good watch and a fair quality for the price. Good reviews and a recent drop in price.
Argos has it at £29.99.

I've been watching the price and I've ordered it.

I posted a Casio W-96H-1AVES the other day which said "Mens" in the title on Amazon, before Xmas (and years before!!), but recently changed to "Womens" hotukdeals.com/dea…810

Plenty of men leaving reviews/uploading photos, and Argos also describe that watch as "Mens". What I think they're trying to convey (badly) is that the face may be rather small for some men, as reflected in the reviews - applies to the W-96H-1AVES, anyway.

Assume the AQ-S810W may be the same? Argos (at a few £ more) also describe it as "Mens" argos.co.uk/pro…997

I saw that one and had been looking at it for some time myself. No idea why it changed sex. All of the AQ-S810W watches seem to be the same size. I did look at them, but could find no difference tbh.

They should cut out the middleman (ha) and just describe them as "Unisex" - then it would give a heads up that the face may be quite small for bigger-built guys.

I think it's more fashion. I know plenty of mens men who wear small watches, because that's what they are used to. The recent fashion for large watches seems to be just that, fashion.
Tbh, this doesn't even seem to be that small

Some Women do like "boyfriend" (size) watches but I find they get in the way when I'm typing and I end up taking the watch off for a while. Anyway, the "watch is too small" comments did apply to some men reviewing the W-96H-1AVES, not sure about this one.

This is definitely larger than that one though. I still like the one you posted, nice and clear, I fear I would end up bashing it to death very quickly though, that's the only reason I didn't buy it when you posted it.
That and the fact, I now have 3 work watches and 1 decent watch, which seems a bit extreme.
£29.99 now, even when checking other sellers

Translation: it has a stopwatch counting up to 59' 59".

I bought a different colour version of this around 5 years ago, paid something like £35. Looks nice, like a cheap-ish version of G-Shock (but more modest, nothing like the outlandish design of some models). It's solar and the rechargeable battery has always been at High, even during dark scottish winters. I've worn it going scuba diving, travelling (has a 2nd time zone and the hands move automatically when you adjust the time/time zone).

Only bad thing is that the window glass is acrylic, so while being recessed in the case, it still can be scratched.
