Aqara Smart Wireless Switch
Multi-functional Intelligent Socket / ZigBee Connection

I believe these new aqara Switch only have 2 program options - single click, double click. The older Xiaomi round Switch has 3, single, double and long press.

Depending on what you are doing these are pretty useful.

I want it, but what is it and what does it do?

Lol, it controls the Xiaomi smart home items.
Great find OP. I Use these to disarm and arm the house alarm and turn on/off smart lights
I've got round one set up to control lights, single click on off, double click max brightness, long click max dim. Shame these ones doesn't offer long click. Still may get one! Or two

I am hopefully that Xiaomi will update these soon so the long press will be available again.

I dont want any more of these but - you may want to try this coupon also : Use code: GBCoupon8
So I have smartthings and motion sensors. What would I use these for?

You can use these to control devices linked,

Example

I have my (round Switch) programmes to ;

1 click kitchen lights on/off
2 clicks downstairs lights all on
Press and hold - sensors activated with 15 second delay

This item currently on has the 1 and 2 click features.

It’s cool... I tried as well lol. Too many of these GB codes about.
I use my fingers to click the lights on and off. Much cheaper and more straightforward.

Sorry for a techie question - but what handler in Smarthings do you use for the switch ? - I have a bespoke one but it doesn't differentiate between those push types (have old style round buttons)

The round switch is only 30p more (via app) so I'd probably pay the extra myself. I have both the round and square one and prefer the look of the round one too.

Round one with long press here:

When you switch it off you switch off the smartness and have to switch it back on manually, defeating the object of smart devices so if living in a dumb house with lots of smart devices is your thing, go for it.
