Unfortunately, until they change the gateway language to full English, going to be difficult.

Can you explain further please?
I have a gate way and was looking to add these - along with water, movement and switch.
This is the normal price for these on Gearbest, hoping for a deal closer to: hotukdeals.com/dea…031 soon as I could do with a load more of them!
Much of the app is in English and for the rest of it just screenshot it and run it through Google translate. The sensors can also be paired with Smartthings if that's your thing.
As mentioned above, this is usually the price of these. They work well with Smartthings and the custom device handler available here: github.com/bsp…ger

The one I ordered from that deal arrived just a few days ago, was an absolute doddle to pair via the Mi Home App and works flawlessly. Almost feel like creating a 2nd GB account for when those deals come up 😏 £3.31 was an amazing price for such a solid bit of tech. Got to be sub a fiver from here on in to get heat I reckon.

I got three from that deal (two new GB accounts). All working perfectly. Wish I bought more though!

There are two types
Xiaomi
Aqara

Only a slight difference in the way they look.... and other major difference ?
Always need more Xiaomi stuff! 😝

Love it!How’s the vacuum?

It's awesome, one of the best things I've ever bought. Trundles round in the middle of the night every night doing its thing, the ground floor is always freshly vacuumed! Now if they could just make one that could climb the stairs! ;-)

I’ve got a bungalow with hard flooring .... so sounds ideal.

I take it it’s not loud then?
How often do you have to clean it?
Does it return to base for charging?
Can i get right into the corners?

It's not really loud, it's loud enough that it would be annoying if you were say watching TV with it going around but it's never woken any of us up and it's run every night since I got it (a few weeks back). I'm not in a bungalow though, night running may not be ideal in that case.

How often do you have to clean it?

I empty it daily (although I could get away with every two-to-three days) and clean the roller once a week.

steve_b2117 m ago

Does it return to base for charging?

Yes, happily wanders back when done and wiggles itself onto the dock.

It does quite well and does have the spinning brush to help (and hard floors are one of its strong points). It is round though so tight into corners is never going to be perfect.

I wouldn't see it as a replacement for a normal vacuum but is great for maintenance cleaning. That said I haven't vacuumed downstairs myself since I bought it!

As previously posted I wish I had bought more when they were £3+. I bought it as a test and it (all the Xiaomi) works flawlessly and I will be buying more to use along with SmartThings and the bspginger device handler (that now displays the battery levels of aqara where the a4refill device handler does not).

You can add all these sensors to the gateway, but good luck with the options as everything in Chinese, even though English language selected. So the main options are in English, but when you want to set up the sensors for various actions, everything in Chinese.

Do you'll have to trial and error. I've got a motion sensor, 2 of these door/window sensors. All boxed ready to sell as it was too much of a headache for me.
I tried to set up my Yeelight with the door sensor and motion sensor.

What I wanted it to do was (between evening hours) that when the door opens, switch on light, but then switch off if no motion detected for 2 minutes.

But for the life of me could not get it to work. Could get the light to switch on when door opens but not the motion sensor side.

Impressive mate. I do like the products but lack of full English throughout the app was a pita for me.

So what, you map out the room and it does its thing?

It's a valid point and it would be great if it were 100% English (the Aqara Gateway cameras are the worst offenders of the devices I have). From what I've seen it is improving over time though and Google Translate allows me to make sense of the Chinese menus.

It maps the rooms out itself as it goes along (has a spinning laser scanner on the top). You can even watch it in real-time on your phone.

This morning’s run...

Thanks for the translation

Which app you using for that? Still confused though as options don't make sense

But it's a start lol

Thanks

Google Translate.

I think the options are "Motion detected", "No motion detected for 2/5/10/20/30 minutes" and "Motion detected and it's dark"
Hoover is fantastic. I love watching that map being created when it cleans lol

Best prices are around the £200 mark, I paid a bit more at £250 including a spare brushbar, 2 spare filters and 2 spare side brushes express shipped via DHL including customs insurance (which DHL charged and LightInTheBox refunded). I didn't mind paying a little more than the absolute cheapest as I didn't fancy risking the customs charges and I could have it quickly.
Literally playing with one of these as we speak. A few things I've found out that might be interesting.

Number 1: If you plan on using the Xiaomi Gateway (as I am), make sure you select the China Mainland server as any other one does not seem to be working. Make sure the Gateway you have bought has Zigbee otherwise the Door/Window sensor will not work.

Number 2: Part of the app is still in Chinese but it is doable to figure everything out without too much bother.

Number 3: No google assistant support or IFTTT. This is my main headache, although as a user mentioned above, you could use another Gateway such as Samsung's SmartThings Gateway.

Hope this helps some people.
Is there a Smartthings handler for this?

Can some one offer some assistance please.

My gateway has arrived... I have added it successfully to the app. When attempting to add

Human sensor
Water sensor

I can get neither of the above to pair?
I've got the Amazon Echo plus with the built in hub, I believe it's made by ZigBee, will these work with it?

Received my Gateway camera today plus a movement sensor. For the life of me I cannot find a way for the camera to trigger an alarm to my phone. Is this possible?

I’ve just set mine up... I needed to do a firmware update for it to detect child items.

My motion detector alerts me fine. I’ve set it to turn the light on and audible alarm if motion is detected, works fine, along with the water sensor I have in the pool pump room.

I’ve got a few door sensors coming so will add to list below.

Gateway
Motion Sensor
Water Sensor
Light
Wireless Switch

With the gateway, what else do you have? Looking to get some tips for set up. Got door sensors and motion sensors. Would like it to work together.

The Aqara gateway camera cannot send an alert when it detects movement (no idea why, my Dafang camera can, maybe they'll add it in the future). But if you have the motion sensor too you can add an automation rule that sends a video clip and alert to your phone (it's the fourth action down on the camera) when the motion sensor is triggered.

Just to follow up on my own comment the app just updated and most of the Aqara camera settings have changed to English so it is true that it is improving all the time.
