Only about 11 litres and not suitable for any fish. Buying this would be like buying a pet carrier and expecting it to be a suitable home for a kitten.

I pity any fish that has to exist in that. Disgraceful.

I have seen these and they are poor quality

I had one of those to house a couple of fairground won goldfish that my daughter acquired.

The goldfish seemed to do alright in it for 18 months or so although they've been moved into a bigger tank since to accommodate the third goldfish she's pitched up with.

As I recall it was that price when I bought it.

My friend got this on his table next to computer for nearly 20 months and 3 guppies looks happy in the tank (with a heater) . An air pump normally cost more than £10.00. So don't expect Juwel quality for £12.99.

It is a 13L tank

As a guide 1" of fish needs 10ltrs of tank, so anymore than 1x 1.3" fish would be too much in this tank!!!
Ideal as a fry tank nor to keep shrimp in though.

No it is 13 litres externally.

not bad just for the stuff u get inside

It can be used to quarantine fish. Not bad for 2-3 minnows or cardinal tetras. It comes with filter, air pump (still works after 20 months) , fish net...

Please don't buy this to put fish in. Although people do keep certain species in Nano tanks it is much harder to maintain water quality in a small tank and is not something for a beginner. To say this tank is suitable for a goldfish is plain ridiculous. Voted Cold sorry as these 'just add fish' sets should be banned.

Also available from Home Bargains.

Pump driver is a bit on the noisy side at vibrates, otherwise okay.

Suitable for ONE very tiny goldfish for max one year maybe.

Dare I mentioned the Nitrogen Cycle ????

I think you'd be suprised how many people will buy something like this throw a goldfish in and have no idea what you are talking about. Very sad.

I know, I used to post up about cycling & some useful tips on these types of threads in the past, but then got flamed from the people who don't care, will buy it, throw fish in, then have to explain to their kids why the fish has died after a week.

I don't bother anymore.....

This country is supposed to be a nation of animal lovers yet the cruelty inflicted upon aquatic life is unbelievable.

It's sad that people who have no idea about fish may be inclined to think that this maybe suitable for goldfish especially as it comes with goldfish food. Still the tank could have its uses

As a dad who has been asked by his son for a couple of goldfish and an aquarium, I would love to know what you are talking about. Suppose will have to Google it. Is this honestly not the correct thing for a couple of small goldfish to survive in?

Yeah for a couple of goldfish will be fine. Like above pump is a bit noisy

One small gold fish or two maximum

I've recently got one of these tho not for fish. I plan to breed larder snails in there when it's fully cycled.

Brought this tank just to have a look, the tank itself isn't the best of quality and shouldn't be used for more then 1 goldfish. Although people on here saying the tank is not suitable for any fish are wrong, this tank is absolutely brilliant for shrimps or small fish like tetras etc. If people use this tank for goldfish I'd say no more then 2 fish as ammonia and nitrate would build up quick. Also in this tank more frequent water changes will be needed as it's not that big. It is a brilliant kit for the price though well recommended for people who are qualified and know that frequent water changes are needed in a small tank.

I'm using this tank for 1 Betta and 1 African dwarf frog this tank would be fine for small fish but goldfish can grow to a great size but then again do you think kids would be able to afford a big massive tank....... No so just let them do what they want and deal with their own co sequences not you

Great for a Betta, Bettas prefer smaller spaces anyway as they feel more secure. Massive no to goldfish though as they output a lot of waste and the tiny filter would be able to cope resulting in a crash and sick fish!

Someone bought this as a gift for my daughters birthday a year ago. It's been sitting in the closet because I agree it is too small so I refused to put fish in it. However I pulled it out today to sell it to someone who was looking for a tank for babies. I might keep it now as seems it's just right for a Betta fish as said above.

Please be aware of what you are getting into before you buy a betta fish. Know that these fish can live up to 10 years under the proper care, so do your research before buying. The minimum size tank for a betta fish is 2.5 gallons with a heater and filter. Please do not keep a betta fish in a bowl; it is terrible for their health and is very small! Your betta fish will not be happy or live as long.

2.5 gallons is roughly 11 litres

I got this tank and also wondered what type of fish can go in here, sad to know it isn't glass at all , it's hard plastic
